GWA003, G535, G533 and GWU003 work 6QA7 from Moree, in Northern NSW, into Penfield heading for Adelaide where the locomotives would be serviced and swapped.

The return of the loaded Aurizon Tailem Bend grain train #2182 crossing the floodplain later in the afternoon with brightly coloured combo G533-CLF6-ALF23-ALF18-V544.
ALF23 in its new Aurizon “canary” or “pineapple” or “banana” or “butter box” colours, certainly lights up the combo!

CLP14-G533 leads a extremely late 5XM1 from Spencer Junction (Port Augusta) to Nth Dynon, slowly approach Elders loop past Corio in a golden light, taken on Friday 20th June, 2025.
CLF6 and G533 pass through the Bumbunga Salt Mines location with 5114S loaded grain to Pelican Point from Gladstone.

Running two hours late through Callington just after sunrise is Aurizon Intermodal service 6MX1 from North Dynon to Spencer Jct via Port Pirie with CLP14/G533 in charge of a light load on Saturday the 21st of June 2025. Upon arrival in Gillman yard (Formerly Port Flat), the train will increase it's loading before heading North later in the evening to attach the wagons to 6SP1 at Port Pirie yard.
Lengthy delays to the preceding service 5XM1 the day prior in the newly upgraded Gillman yard resulted in the train missing it’s regular path out of Adelaide, being held for overnight resleepering works between Belair and Ambleside. Aurizon’s older locomotive fleet members have been dominating these services in recent weeks, with the 5 operational CLF/CLP class locomotives becoming regulars on this traffic alongside a mix of old and modern power.

Empty GWA grain service 1281S from Dry Creek to Tailem Bend powers past one of the several Jacaranda trees in suburban Millswood with units CLP17/G533/ALF22/GWA005 on Thursday the 5th of December 2019.
GWA have just recommenced running 1281S/2182S grain services on the South line to Tailem Bend after a lengthy absence over the winter months. The last Tailem Bend grain ran in late March with this train being the 2nd working to Tailem Bend this month.

G533,G535,ALF24,FQ02 have just refuelled at Manguri on 17-11-21 and are about to depart southbound with thier crew van for the shirt trip to Rankin Dam where they will attach to loaded ore train 9102 and return to Adelaide
ORA loaded grain 2182S with locomotives GWU015 - ALF19 - G535 - G533 at Heathfield on 29 December 2021. GWU015 was built by UGL, Broadmeadow in NSW earlier in the year and was sent over to South Australia in mid December along with GWU014.

The recent re-introduction of CLP8 to traffic has presented enthusiasts with a nice array of older stock to sink their teeth into.

One Rail Australia locomotives CLF6/CLP8/G535/CLP17/G533 lift #2182 loaded Tailem Bend to Port Adelaide grain train upgrade between Callington and Kanmantoo, South Australia, on 28 April 2022.
The orange locos are Morrison Knudsen CLF/CLP rebuilds dating back to 1993 - originally built by Clyde Engineering for the Commonwealth Railways in 1970-72. The two green and yellow 'boxes' were also built by Clyde in 1988 for Victorian state operator V/Line. Eventually they ended up with Freightliner Australia before passing to Genesee & Wyoming Australia and then One Rail.

After being held at Mile End to cross a late running 3MA5, Aurizon Intermodal service 1PM1 from Forrestfield to North Dynon climbs upgrade through Glenalta behind ACD6056/ACD6053/G533 on Wednesday the 20th of August 2025.

Empty Snowtown bound grain train 1471S approaches Bolivar with G533 & GWA006 on Monday 9th of September 2019
Once this train loads at Snowtown, it will stable overnight and head to NSW as 3AQ7 in the early hours
90 minutes after sunrise in the Adelaide Hills, the shadows are still long, and the temperature is still in single digits on the morning of Winter solstice 2025. Aurizon freight service 6MX1 powers out of the Onkaparinga Valley with a pair of EMD units in charge, led by streamliner CLP14 and double ended box cab G533.
G533 leads 4814, 4836 and G535 north through Wyee with 3498N loaded Canola bound for Cargills on Kooragang Island. G533 and G535 are both owned by AWB, and are used by El Zorro to transport AWB wheat in NSW and Victoria. The two 48 class are owned by Junee Railway Workshops, and are leased out to El Zorro.
Not the usual big power on 9102s today with G535-G533-ALF22-FQ02 doing the work at Mawson Lakes on a cloudy Nov 20, 2021. The loaded Rankin Dam ore train kept to the main and roared on through to Port Flat.
G533 leads CLF4 and G511 north through Menangle with 5MB7 Melbourne to Brisbane freight.

Following a very late running MS9 service, G533 leads MB7 north into Sydney, assisted by CLF1 and G534. G533 is on lease from SCT, rendered surplus with the delivery of 15 SCT Class locomotives earlier in the year.
