I really wish I'd known what I know now about daytime long exposure when I shot this in 2009... Oh well...
Pump those legs and wings, create that energy to endure lift-off and become part of the fast and the furious !

Knowing that 50007s arrival at Exeter would be covered from every angle I set myself a challenge of trying to get a fresh angle. I had two spots in mind , one I used extensively during my video days and one I had used a couple of times with my Nikon FM2 when access wasn't a problem.
The first spot was too much of a challenge even for Viola May 2 but the 2nd spot seemed to be on.
So here is 50007/034 at Riverside Yards just about to take the ECS for the 1537 ESD -VIC caught in a patch of rare sunlight on this day.

Ce jour-là, la mer était déchaînée sur la magnifique plage de Castelejo au Portugal (Vila Do Bispo / Sagres).
Situé à une distance + que raisonnable du bord de l'eau (+ de 200 m d'après mes souvenirs), il aura pourtant suffit d'une vague beaucoup plus forte que les autres au loin pour former une étale impressionnante de l'eau sur la plage venant mourir jusqu'à mes pieds.
Plus de peur que de mal heureusement ... mais une bonne piqûre de rappel et une bonne leçon d'humilité !

This was shot with my back to the wall with a fast rising tide, iPad fell in the thames, but survived ;-)
