This tiny mouse was made by Ryan Gander, it's not just any mouse it's animatronic and acts like a real creature and the mouse does speak. It was fascinating to watch at The Triennial at The National Gallery of Victoria recently.
Many thanks for your visits, kind comments and faves, very much appreciated.
I was inspired by the Disney movie "Up" to make this button art as my entry for the Smile on Saturday group theme: Funny art. :)
Thank you very much for your visit! HSoS!
Twenty-six years ago, there was great concern that the turn of the century to the year 2000 would bring horrific computer problems. Dubbed the "Y2K problem," the issue was that computer programs at the time represented four-digit years with only the final two digits, making the year 2000 indistinguishable from the year 1900.
This computer "bug," some experts predicted, would cause a modern-day apocalypse when the clock struck midnight to end 1999, causing computer systems worldwide to malfunction or shut down. Fortunately, however, computer programmers were able to rectify the issue ahead of time, and worldwide catastrophe was averted.
The fun decorative creation shown here is a remembrance of
that time.
Smile on Saturday: “Free Theme”

Hello my amazing Flickr friends !!
Today is a purple or pink day at Color my World Daily and the theme at Smile on Saturday is part of an art piece. I decided to show you a part of my cement head statue. It wasn’t made by me, I received it as a gift. As soon as I set up everything for this picture, two tiny people in love showed up and asked me for two tickets for the museum… I let them admire the head for free but in exchange of a picture of both of them looking at the art piece. I don’t know about you, but I find people in museums almost as fascinating as the art they are admiring…
Mucho, mucho amor for you !!
Thank you so much for all your lovely comments / favs/ general support / happy thoughts!! Stay safe and well!! And see you soon on Flickr !
FYI: I’m very busy at work and at home so I will not be able to answer your comments… So comment at your own risks ! However, I will read everything for sure !
Most dog owners will have had one of these. Nothing on the table is safe.

For 'Smile on Saturday', theme: funny art
Coady (Vic)
Dave (2023)
Statement: Dave is a reference to Michelangelo’s luminous marble carving of David, the epitome of male perfection for centuries. By projecting this thinking into the contemporary realm , the new version of David (or ‘Dave’ as he is known to his friends) cuts a benign figure in the midst of social change. With gender rules and traditional male stereotypes fading, COADY describes Dave’s characteristics as a more baby boomer than millennial, a journey in time that has redefined notions of masculinity.
A strange, but somehow fascinating, sculpture, near the Invercauld Arms Hotel in Braemar in the Scottish Highlands. This Cocktail Shaker, overflowing with smaller cocktail shakers, is over 10 feet high and shines in the winter sun on what is actually a cold day. In the distance you can just make out the newly restored Braemar Castle.

Mural that depicts the character of collective eatery De Plak in Nijmegen. This is a cafe without a boss, but where people jointly run the business and make decisions democratically.
This was a funny display of art, created and shown at the Tulsa Living Arts. If you blow it up and look at the photos on the wall you can see how they have been a part of the family for many years.

Hello my amazing Flickr friends !!
Today is a pink or purple day at Color my World Daily and the theme at Smile on Saturday is funny art. About 2 weeks ago, my youngest son had an assignment to do for his art class: recreate a famous painting with some day to day items from home. Luckily for everyone, Borys (my son) is a very responsible 13 years old « old men », so not only he had picked his painting for the assignment, he prepared all the props and set up the photo shoot. And all that : 5 days in advance !!! All I had to do was to take the picture. His painting was Frida Kahlo’s portrait with flowers in her hair and a black cat. Recreated a famous painting is a very funny art in my opinion ! I had a blast taking the picture of Borys as Frida and recreating the picture for this challenge. This is my version of Frida an her cat. And of course, painting on eggs is a very funny art as well ! So this theme was double the fun for sure !
Mucho, mucho amor for you my friends !! Have a beautiful day !!!
Thank you so much for all your lovely comments / favs/ general support / happy thoughts!! Stay safe and well!! And see you soon on Flickr !
Smile on saturday - funny art.
"The work of Eduardo Kobra, an artist from Brazil, is the most recognizable mural in Łódź. It was painted in 2014 in a very well exposed place, on the wall of a revitalized tenement house at 18 Sienkiewicza Street. The mural is a portrait of the world-famous, outstanding pianist Artur Rubinstein, who was born and raised in our city. However, this is not a traditional representation of the figure - the artist painted Rubinstein in a funny pose, surrounded by vivid, kaleidoscope-like colorful shapes. A careful observer will also notice the piano keyboard. Extremely colorful compositions are Kobra's hallmark - he paints his works referring to the historical, social and cultural context of the place, combining photorealistic portraits with a riot of colors. The work painted in Łódź has one more advantage - it combines Rubinstein's sense of humor (the artist "painted" on the wall an actual photo taken probably in 1950 at the Berlin Zoo) with the seriousness and importance of the figure in culture and music history."
The theme for Smile on Saturday is funny art and I giggled when I found this birthday card in a box of pictures. It was from a good friend who signed it: from your “birthday twin”. It may become the backdrop for a birthday card for Flickr on Monday.

I don’t expect to see this little fuzzy Didelphis virginiana again, now that I have discovered and repaired the broken plank in the back fence.
Happy Smile on Saturday!
I added some drops and saturated the colours;
Street art seen in Groningen, funny animals.

Created for funny art theme in Smile on Saturday! 😊
The past few weeks, I’ve been making gifts for my brother-in-law for his 75th Birthday party. This is one of his gifts. Using one of my lasers, I scored & engraved it on a black anodized aluminum business card. The shiny aluminum shows through where it was scored/engraved. The whole theme of his gifts is full of humor. Hopefully. lol.. Hope you like. HSoS :-)
This acrylic painted Palm frond is one of many wonderful art pieces created by Stefanie Nellett, Sebring, FL. This alligator is just perfect for me. You should see the oil painting she did of my Tommie T. #5 (now passed away). It's also so wonderful.
Happy Smile on Saturday! :-) Funny Art. May God bless each of you for your kindness in visiting me here today!
Hey, diddle, diddle,
The cat and the fiddle,
The cow jumped over the moon;
The little dog laughed,
To see such sport,
And the dish ran away with the spoon.
Photographed taken at the Marietta Museum of Art and Whimsy in Sarasota, Florida. If you have the opportunity, it is a place you should check out. There are hundreds of cool, interesting, and comical art pieces in every nook and cranny of the museum, including the restrooms. This is where this photograph was taken, in the women's restroom!
