This is different from what I normally photograph, probably because I don`t have much experience in street/city photography. So this is a section I need to progress on.
I also used a ND filter on my Samyang 12mm lens in order to show the speed this funfair attraction. (which is a music express)

Ferris wheel with in the back the St. Josephchurch (the most famous church of Tilburg, the Netherlands). The Funfair in Tilburg is the biggest of the BeNeLux (Belgium, netherlands, luxemburg).
Tilburg is a landlocked municipality and a city in the Netherlands, located in the southern province of Noord-Brabant. Tilburg municipality also includes the villages of Berkel-Enschot and Udenhout.
Tilburg University is located in Tilburg, and so are Fontys University of Applied Sciences and Avans University of Applied Sciences. Tilburg has nearly 30.000 students at one of these universities.
A 10 day-long funfair, the largest of the Benelux, is held in July each year. The Monday of fair week is called "Roze Maandag" (Pink Monday), and is gay-oriented, though also enjoyed by many heterosexuals.
There are three railway stations within the municipality: Tilburg, Tilburg West and Tilburg Reeshof. The tallest building in Tilburg is the Westpoint tower.

Our town is in the full throes of its annual "Festival of World Cultures", which means we are getting our festival on right now... big time. The mister and I went to see a gig last night and later danced the night away like the young things we still think we are, at heart! All day today was spent enjoying all things "festival" in Dun Laoghaire: funfair, concerts, workshops, friends, food, goodies... the works. The daunting grey clouds reluctantly cracked, opening up onto a blue sky, the likes of which we haven't seen here for far to many summer days. It was bliss. We'll be doing it all over again tomorrow.
And hopefully tomorrow I'll have some more pictures to show for it.
Today, after just 12 shots, my camera batter died. I reached for my back-up battery. Dead too. Arrrghh! Sheeesh, I was just getting warmed up!
I spent the rest of the day half regretting my forgetfulness (noticing missed photo ops every step of the way...) and half not caring in the slightest... sometimes it's nice to lower the lens and live every second really IN the fun :-)

p.s. Bonus deet: One of my pics was Explored today!!! A first for me. Not quite sure exactly why I'm so giddy and excited about it. But it totally made up for the lack of festival shots, anyway :-)
