Just dumping some more random stuff of no particular interest or merit. This dates from March 2017. I think I had just dropped Mrs B at Terminal 3 ...she was off to visit her mother... and this was taken from the short stay car park as I tried to remember where I'd left the car. I always have difficulty operating the pay machines: so many insertions and so many orifices. "Can't find the hole again"? says Mrs B, in her satirical way. Was I even on the correct "level"? After this, the hellish drive back. I do the elevated M4 and the North Circular these days. Then the A1(M) and the A505 past Baldock. It may not be any quicker, but it is less visually barren ...in fact quite interesting up around Stonebridge Park and Brent Cross.
I would want to be here.

The Fuji GA645Zi is unreal. The richness of the colour is soooo amazing. And Thank you flickr for the explore photos;)
Is this barley? Boy of the suburbs that I am, I recognise the resemblance to those "darts" we used to pluck from the margins of the lanes behind the houses and throw at each other. They lodged in the stitching of our jumpers ...knitted by our mothers. I later learned that the plant was wild barley and this seems to be its cultivated version. Assuming it is barley, it will probably be bought up by Greene King and end up in Morland's Old Speckled Hen.
I have rediscovered the pleasures of cycling this summer. The last time I made the attempt, a few years ago, it killed my upper legs. This time around I took it steady at first and increased my range gradually; I found that my poor old muscles soon adapted. My two elbows bear the abrasions of two falls, the first resulting from an attempt to yoink up over the kerb without dismounting (my wife tells me this is called "hot-dogging"), and the second from an over-ambitious attempt to "transition" from an unsurfaced path to an asphalted pavement. Both incidents occurred late in the evening, in twilight, when there were no onlookers: my dignity was not compromised. And no, I'm not going to start wearing one of those idiotic Flash Gordon helmets or dress up in a special outfit. This was taken yesterday afternoon (11/07/17) just before it started raining. I was carrying the Fuji GA645Zi on its strap around my neck and right shoulder. It was a film user-upper shot really. I got the chemicals out as soon as I got home.
