As long as I have a car theme going I might as well throw this one in the mix.

I may have found some info about this car and trailer. I noticed the license plate was ALCOX. I googled alcox and hot rod and found this article: www.fuelcurve.com/harley-and-linda-alcox/

In my picture the car has the smaller tires on the car and big tires on the trailer. In the article the big tires are on the car and the small ones are on the trailer.

The internet is an amazing resource...

If it wasn’t for this man, there might not be a Red Baron, Zingers, Beatnick Bandit, Batmobile, or famous customizer like Ed Roth, George Barris, Chuck Miller,

Bob Larivee Sr. Founder of Promotions Incorporated which produced in doors car shows such as World of Wheels and AutoRamas all over the US and Canada who also commissioned customizers to build such cars as the Red Baron .

Bob Larivee worked with Monogram to commissioned Chuck Miller to build the life size Tom Daniel’s designed Red Baron which later Hot wheels produced

Bob was nice enough to signed my original Hot Wheels Red Baron #HotWheels #redbaron #worldofwhe

In the early 1950s, he got into cars and racing during the golden age of racing that many only dream about. In November of 1959, he started Promotions Incorporated with his brother and charged $1.25 for entry. Imagine that! The indoor car show was a new idea. There was no car activity in the winter. No professional sports. People were craving activity and Bob delivered. By 1982, they were doing 100 shows a year.

The Detroit Autorama has been organized in-collaboration between the Michigan Hot Rod Association (MHRA) and Championship Auto Shows (CASI) since 1961. In 1963, CASI President Bob Larivee Sr. and fellow CASI showrunners formed a new governing body for indoor show car events, titled the International Show Car Association (ISCA). The ISCA has since become the leading governing body of show car events and competitions in North America, with its own rulebook, classification, and points system. Along with CASI (now "North America's largest producer of indoor hot rod shows"[5]) they co-promote and judge events from coast-to-coast.

Still going strong, it was great to see Bob Larivee Sr., pictured on the left in the green shirt, in Pomona at the Grand National show. In his mid-90's today, Bob is still doing well offering table top books documenting many aspects of our automotive history.

He was originally on the ground floor of starting the Detroit Autorama with founding producer Don Ridler. He later went on to produce car shows with Promotions Inc., over the span of several decades. Bob is also credited with starting the International Show Car Assn., in 1963, not to mention a legion of other endeavors.

It was cool seeing a legend continue doing what he loves and taking the time to share stories from the past with people from all walks of life.
