I guess this is what happens when I am out of stuff to shoot :) Last night I was looking around the house for something to take a shot of but could not find anything. In the garage I found the box that had a few lemons and persimmons that one of my coworkers had brought. Of course there were also plenty of screws from the projects I have going and so I did a little fruit construction.

As I was looking at this I got this third grade or maybe 2nd grade knock knock type of joke that came to mind and here it goes :

" What did the persimmons say to the lemon? I don't want to get screwed :) "

For the Macro Mondays theme "Speckled"

Ingredients:

1) Speaker 2) Apple Slice 3) Ice

4) Strawberry Slice w/Apple Pits

Directions:

1) Apply wavy filter to speaker composite layer.

2) Add Apple Slice and Strawberry Slice w/Pits.

3) Blend until happy (again with the Difference setting).

Here's to standing up to the corrupt Republican Party!! Here's to standing up to years and years of entrenched, systemic racism. Congratulations Ralph Warnnock, Jon Ossoff, Stacy Abrams and all of the right thinking people who made this happen. Go Georgia!!

Let me explain: Georgia's run off system means that if two white candidates split the ticket, potentially allowing a black candidate to win, the black candidate would most likely still need to face a white candidate in a one-on-one election, where the odds are the white candidate would win. The system was expressly designed to keep black candidates from holding office in Georgia and it has basically worked as Georgia has never had a black U.S Senator before Ralph Warnnock. Ain't America great?

Shot for Don Giannatti's Free Table Top Workshop.

Luckily Jonathans coat has capacious pockets into which the little Fuji fits quite snugly. These leaves were on the pavement of the street. It was a moments job to take the Fuji and grab the shot/ shots tbh... I love it but don't know what the little fruit is so late in the year....

This weeks Snap Happy theme of 'Fruit' was chosen by Gaz.

Given I got stung by a bee while trying to make this image, I thought I should post it even though I am not totally convinced by it.

I had the idea of doing the PEP Ventosa technique on the fruit bowl where you walk around it and take images in the round as a set of multiple exposures. Hence I was in the backyard in bare feet, walking around the fruit bowl which was propped up on a cardboard box with velvet draped around it. Pretty stupid when I am allergic to bees and generally swell up like an elephant. We got the sting out without the sac breaking I think so I got away with a localised swelling that hasn't spread.

Anyway, the multiple exposures didn't work so I used just one image and had fun playing with it.

These strawberries were "captured" at a roadside stand in the Leelanau Peninsula, MI. Strawberry shortcake for dinner!

Note on July, 6, 2016: This one is from the archives. However, it is again strawberry time on the Leelanau Peninsula.
