The reason I went to San Francisco in December, 2011, was because I won tickets to see Metallica at the Fillmore for their 30th Anniversary week of shows.
They closed out the nights with their own set of rarer or never before played songs and had a host of special guests each night.

Lo show sarà una grande festa con tanti ospiti e un repertorio rinnovato.
Il gruppo Jive non proporrà solo rivisitazioni dei più grandi e amati swing americani e italiani da Fred Buscaglione a Frank Sinatra e Renato Carosone, a cui i Dottori del Jive imprimono, con ispirazione jazzistica, il loro personalissimo e inconfondibile ritmo shuffle.
Nel repertorio saranno compresi anche brani inediti del loro ultimo album “Guarda che Luna”, nato dall’incontro con il maestro Vince Tempera che, con la sua firma, ha impresso un tratto distintivo di assoluta originalità ad ogni pezzo, dando una nuova intesa musicale.
Un’intesa musicale che coinvolge il pubblico, in ogni occasione, grazie anche alla frizzante irriverenza e all’innata capacità di tenere il palco del frontman dei Doctors of Jive.
Atmosfere noir, di whiskey, fumo e margarita, sul palco, Vik Dinamite, con la sua voce roca, elevata a originale cifra stilistica, è cantante ma anche mattatore in una serie di sketch gustosissimi che creano uno spettacolo nello spettacolo regalando al pubblico ore di ritmato divertimento.
Lo show, sempre fedele a se stesso, ma unico ad ogni occasione, alterna momenti “one man show” a momenti di grande coinvolgimento, dove tutti gli artisti sul palco danno vita a situazioni di collaudata complicità in grado di coinvolgere platee eterogenee, vera forza di ogni serata.

Maneskin : durante il concerto del Lollapalooza Festival 2022, a Chicago, il frontman della band romana si è infortunato e ha dovuto concludere l’esibizione con il ghiaccio su una spalla.
Esplosivi, inarrestabili, amati e idolatrati, ormai vere e proprie rockstar. Dopo il grandissimo successo del concerto al Circo Massimo, i Maneskin, volati oltreoceano, hanno apposto la loro inconfondibile firma anche sul ‘Lollapalooza Festival 2022‘, andato in scena a Chicago.Al Grant Park, in un bagno di folla, la band romana ha conquistato il pubblico con l’ennesimo super show.
Non si risparmiano mai, carica, energia e quel pizzico di follia che si addice alle vere Rockstar. Zitti e Buoni, canzone vincitrice del Festival di Sanremo 2021, e dell’Eurovision song contest 2021 ha aperto le danze.
Il concerto è proseguito, poi, sulle note di I Wanna Be Your Slave (il cui video ufficiale è candidato, nella categoria Best Alternative Video, agli MTV VMAs) e Damiano David ha gasato e chiamato a raccolta il pubblico:
“Andiamo giù, giù sulle ginocchia. Vedo qualche cu*o svogliato, ma che ci possiamo fare per questi. Potete prendere la loro maglietta e tirarli giù, così da farli scendere. Adesso conterò fino a quattro, e quando sentirete il numero quattro, incominciate a saltare, urlare, e fate tutto ciò che volete”.
Subito tanti applausi, incitazioni e un’esplosione di approvazione della folla.

3315: Frontman of Fischer-Z. The vocalist / guitarist was the mastermind behind the forming of Fischer-Z around 1976. Besides Watts the other members were: Steve Liddle on drums, David Graham on bass guitar and co-founder Steve Skolnik on keyboards.
After three albums the band broke up in 1981, and within the year Watts was back with his first solo album. A second followed a year later. And in 1984 he formed the The Cry, with David Graham as one of the members.
In 1987 Fischer-Z was reformed with Watts being the only "old" member. During the following years Watts continued to release six albums under the name of Fischer-Z and three under his own name. In 2002 again he called Fischer-Z a day, although a reunion was held in 2004 with all past members during a garden party which was filmed for a DVD release. Meanwhile he continued to release solo albums, wrote poetry and did performances both as singer and as autor.
This summer Fischer-Z is reformed, again with Watts being the only original member. During this tour, with only the gig at the Mezz being a Fischer-Z gig (the others are all as support or festival gigs) the band only plays songs from their first three albums or as they call it the "Fischer-Z Trilogy Shows".
As John told the crowd last night, intends are to work on new material during the autumn and release a new album, with touring in the winter. Next summer he wants to return with a tour of playing old songs again.

How many galaxies can you find? NGC 7331 is the frontman for the Deer Lick Group and is much closer to us than the smaller galaxies lurking about in this image. Another group, Stephan's Quintet, makes its appearance to the lower left. This RGB image was taken at the 2016 Table Mountain Star Party using a QSI 683wsg CCD camera, a Tele Vue 76mm refractor, and an iOptron iEQ45 Pro mount. Integration time was 25 minutes per channel.
