NoGoD has been active in the Japanese music scene (and the European/international as well) for nearly 10 years.

Formed by frontman Dancho in 2005, and have performed with the same members since 2006. They have been active internationally in Asia since 2010, and are now ready to conquer Europe in the same way: through their music.

Their core message that “if a person believes in one core element, said element can become their own personal God. The band is striving to become just that.” NoGoD wants to be your God (in the sense of a core element).

A few other things the band is famous for are guitarist Kyrie’s special 7 string guitar technique, something a lot of guitarists strive to aspire to themselves.

And vocalist Dancho’s comical interaction with the audience when on stage, adding to the fun of the performance as well as displaying their love for lives and music.

Theological and philosophical principles behind the band aside they are of course most famous for their shironuri make-up, visual kei, looks and of course their music itself!

Whilst the band is known for it’s heavy (metal) style sounds, that remain quite catchy to the listener’s ear.

To achieve their own particular style they weaved in influences from J-rock, J-pop and of course the genre they are best known for: metal.

What is certain is that this band offers musical attractions to fans of many different genres, not just the visual kei or metal ones. They’re a great band that genuinely wants to build a solid fan base on the European market with their music and excellent instrumental technique.

So if you are visiting Japan Expo on Saturday the 5th or Sunday the 6th of July, make sure to check out NoGoD on their stage!

The times are not out yet, but keep your eye on the program so you don’t miss them!

Formed in 2004 by Mark Tremonti and Scott Phillips after a cooling of their relationship with Creed's singer (Creed has since reconciled and reunited), the new band hooked up with then ex-Creed bassist Marshall and former Mayfield Four frontman Kennedy (who recently performed and co-wrote 2 songs on Slash’s solo record and fronts his touring band).

In 2004 the band recorded their debut album, One Day Remains. It went gold in the United States and spawned three singles as well as the track “Metalingus,” which was adopted by the WWE’s Superstar Edge as his theme song later that year. In 2007 the band released the critically acclaimed second album, Blackbird, which included the hit singles “Rise Today” and “Watch Over You.” The latter became a top 10 video as well as the featured song on VH-1’s Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew. The band took to the road to promote their sophomore release, gaining more fans across the globe with their intense and powerful live show.

Lyrically, the first two albums are based on themes immersed in hope and perseverance in the face of adversity. On AB III, however, the theme has shifted. Kennedy states, “This record is definitely a departure from the last two albums in terms of its subject matter. It touches on the thoughts and emotions of someone who has come to question everything that was once regarded as an absolute truth. It’s the realization that everything you once believed in might not exist.”

This journey is set into motion by the album’s opening track, “Slip to the Void.” The song’s sparse and moody intro set’s up the narrative as Kennedy’s vocal and lyrics emerge. Tremonti adds, “’Slip To The Void,’ has one of my favorite vocal performances ever by Myles, the song is really creepy and lets the listener know the vibe of the record. It’s pretty dark, the intro really sucks you in.”

The album then shifts gears into the metallic first single, “Isolation,” showcasing Alter Bridge’s ability to play and write aggressively while maintaining their signature melodic component. Tremonti states, “Melody is still the most important thing for us. There’s no point in being heavy just for the sake of being heavy.”

From the bombastic riffs of “Still Remains” to the brooding band favorite “Show Me A Sign,” the album plays like a concept record whose main character is someone desperately struggling to find their place in a world steeped in doubt and emptiness. The track, “Words Darker Than Their Wings,” is the final chapter of this tale. Kennedy says, “The lyric was inspired by a conversation I had with a good friend a while ago. It was the catalyst for the idea of having both Mark and I trade off on the lead vocal. I thought it would be a good way of making the differing points of view in the ‘conversation’ be more effective. More importantly, I thought Mark sounded great singing it!”

While AB III is a record with a consistent theme, there are songs both musically and thematically that break away and touch on different human emotions. One of those moments is found in “Wonderful Life,” a song that Kennedy claims was “An extremely emotional song to put together, it took a long time.” He then adds, “The lyric was inspired by the idea that there will come a day when we all must say goodbye to the ones we love and hold dear in our hearts. Basically, I asked myself what would I want to say in that final moment, that last goodbye?”

The band enlisted Producer Michael “Elvis” Baskette (Iggy Pop, Incubus), to capture the vision the band had for AB III. Baskette, described by Tremonti as “like a fifth band-member,” was also at the helm for the recording of Blackbird. Kennedy says,” Over the years we have definitely established a bond with Elvis. We trust his instincts, he knows how to bring out the best in us sonically and creatively.”

AB III is an incredibly intense and dynamic album proving Alter Bridge continues to grow and evolve with each recording. “We went into the process of putting the record together with a lot of confidence,” Tremonti reveals, “but we didn’t go into it looking to be commercial, or to have radio singles. We just wanted this to be an album that pleased us artistically, through and through.”

Snow Patrol frontman-led supergroup Tired Pony played one of three planned shows in support of their sophomore studio album release The Ghost of the Mountain at London's Barbican Hall.

Joined by R.E.M. guitarist Peter Buck, Gary Lightbody brought on a host of special guests to work through a set of songs from both records with guests including R.E.M. bassist Mike Mills, Editors front man Tom Smith, Commitments singer Bronagh Gallagher as well as members of Snow Patrol and presenter Edith Bowman.

In attendance were funny man James Corden and his wife Julia Carey as well as One Direction singer Harry Styles.

The Cosmopolitan's Director of Entertainment, Rehan Choudhry, with The Flaming Lips' frontman, Wayne Coyne, at The Boulevard Pool at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas in Las Vegas, NV on June 17, 2011.

The Flaming Lips formed in 1983 in Oklahoma City, but their first brush with fame didn’t come till 11 years later, when the quirky tune “She Don’t Use Jelly” somehow broke into the mainstream a year after the album containing it, Transmissions from the Satellite Heart, was released. Bizarre sonic experiments with equally bizarre song titles made the Flaming Lips hard to fathom, and strange behavior and unfortunate, freakish accidents made them a continual curiosity. All Music Guide's description of the group as “acid bubblegum” is as good a label as any to try to explain the dancing-about-architecture nature of Wayne Coyne and bandmates, currently co-founding bassist/keyboardist Michael Ivins, multi-instrumentalist Steven Drozd, who joined in 1993, and drummer/percussionist Kliph Scurlock, a member since 1999.

Showman Coyne handles reedy vocals, guitar, keyboards, assorted other instruments and weird theatrics, like floating in a bubble over crowds, filling the stage with animal- or Teletubbie-costumed characters and various forms of provocative behavior. His bent for weirdness extends to bizarre song and album titles like “Psychiatric Explorations of the Fetus with Needles” and “Free Radicals (A Hallucination of the Christmas Skeleton Pleading with a Suicide Bomber).” Their bent for brilliance extends to albums like The Soft Bulletin and Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots, and turning a lyric like “Do you realize that everyone you know someday will die?” into a song that sounds like a joyous affirmation of life (“Do You Realize?”). With the Flaming Lips, you never can tell what they’ll think of next.

The Boulevard Pool sets the stage for Las Vegas' most unique live concerts. Perched high above The Las Vegas Strip, The Boulevard Pool is a multilevel pool experience by day and an intimate outdoor concert venue with unobstructed sightlines of both the stage and The Strip by night.

Queens of the Stone Age's follow-up to 2007's "Era Vulgaris" will feature Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl on drums, the band has confirmed.

According to Pitchfork, band mastermind Josh Homme announced on BBC Radio 1 on Tuesday (Nov. 6) that drummer Joey Castillo was no longer with the band (which has long featured a revolving cast of contributors, aside from Homme), and that Grohl was back on board with QOTSA. The Foos frontman and former Nirvana drummer previously sat behind the kit for the band's 2002 breakout "Songs for the Deaf," which featured the hit single "No One Knows" and has sold 1.1 million copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

To spread the news to all QOTSA fans, the band posted a photo on Twitter on Tuesday of a soundboard that reads "J HO - Guitar" and "Dave - Drums."

Last month, Grohl confirmed that Foo Fighters was officially taking a break, following last year's Grammy-winning "Wasting Light" and an extensive tour supporting the album. "Never in my wildest dreams did I think Foo Fighters would make it this far… There were times when I wanted to give up. But I can't give up this band. And I never will," he wrote in a letter to fans.

Queens of the Stone Age are slated to perform at the Download Festival in the U.K. next June, but the band's first full-length in over five years could come before then. When asked by a fan on Twitter if a new QOTSA album would be released before Download Fest, the group's Twitter account responded, "good plan."
