In one aspect, yes, I believe in ghosts, but we create them. We haunt ourselves.

~ Laurie Halse Anderson

There is a lantern in the soul, which makes your solitude luminous. Solitude need not remain lonely. It can awaken to its luminous warmth. The soul redeems and transfigures everything because the soul is the divine space. When you inhabit your solitude fully and experience its outer extremes of isolation and abandonment, you will find that at its heart there is neither loneliness nor emptiness but intimacy and shelter.

― John O'Donohue

Another one from my archives. I thought some colour might be needed seeing as it's the middle of January and a little bit of bokeh never goes amiss, does it? :-)

Have a wonderful Autumn every one.

Hello dear friends!

I am still recovering from an October surgery and most likely have many weeks to go before using my camera - I miss it so much:( Using my left arm and hand is painful yet, when possible I want to pop in from time to time to comment (with emojis) on your photographs.

As I stroll through your images I am so impressed with your beautiful photography !!! It brings me much joy and hope:)

I miss all of you so much!

Take good care and hugs to you all!!

Some men live for warlike deeds,

Some for women's words,

John James Audubon lived to look at birds.

Pretty birds and funny birds,

All our native fowl

From the little cedar waxwing

To the Great Horned Owl

Let the wind blow hot or cold,

Let it rain or snow,

Everywhere the birds went Audubon would go.

Scrambling through a wilderness,

Floating down a stream, All around America

In a feathered dream.

Joy to the World!

Many good wishes Flickr friends for love, joy, and hope! ❤️

Happy Friday all!

Revisiting Lisbon today. I'm due for a trip to see the familia soon.

One of the baby squirrels in our backyard. I think he's pondering which of my bulbs to eat next. The little critters have voracious appetites.

Just a typical backyard Blue Jay we see here. I believe it is called a Mountain Jay, but I'm not sure. Bird identification is not my thing.
