Without a homeland to come from and without, the longing for another. Without marking a starting point or setting an end line. Without any disappointments or satisfactions. With no reason to 'exist' and no goal to achieve. Just keep going. You probably feel lost and you will continue to feel that way, even if you are found. You have nothing left but walking. Therefore, you keep going so that you can be!

Passerby, like me. Aren't we all just passerby’s so

Seaside Town on the East Yorkshire coast. Taken during the recent storms. The waves are testing the town's sea defences.

The sunrise after a night of freezing rain. It was worth taking the drive into the country.

“It's not knowing what to do, it's doing what you know.” - Tony Robbins

When we left the house at 9:30 we had 45 degrees and blue sky. Thirty minutes later we hit dense fog about half way to the park, and the temp plummeted to 24 degrees. Yikes! Will we be able to see any eagles? Barr Lake is famous for migrating eagles heading north this time of year and there have been reports of large numbers of them recently. We didn't have to wait long to find out! The scenery was breathtaking due to the super gray fog (not great for photos) and the thick frost on everything in the park. We bundled up and headed out to the Gazebo Boardwalk, 1.3 miles away, where there is a viewing station for the pair of eagles who return every year to nest. Brrrr!

We counted 26 eagles on the walk, 14 of them near this nest.

Been shooting birds from a greater distance than usual to observe behaviors.

If We Hold On Together by Diana Ross (with lyrics)

THE VOICE OF PEACE

If the sun can find the smallest flower, then it can find me in the dark

and chase away my darkest hours and lighten every mark,

that scars me inwardly not out, where no-one sees the wound

and takes away the many doubts, that swept away the bloom

of roses pink upon my cheeks and blue skies from my eyes

and left me frozen as ice peaks, where mountain eagles fly

I mourn the person I once was, but bless how I became,

recovered from the iron jaws of heartache, sorrow, pain.

The steely teeth that held me tight; released another me

and all the blame fell out of sight and left me to float free

upon the waves of loving arms and shelter from the storms;

tranquillity and soothing balm of friendship, love and swarms

of angels in soft harmony, who guide my every step.

I take towards the future me, not one who never slept,

but one who sleeps like angels sleep, with one wing at the ready

to fly to where the angels keep their secrets that will steady

the Earth from spinning way too fast and stop the dark abyss

from threatening peace from coming first. I send a loving kiss

to all the world; mankind as one; embrace your fellow man

and share with him love warm as sun and enlighten every land.

Captured this shot of a raven flying over head. The sky was incredible this evening.

The sunrise was intense yesterday morning. The sun is once again coming up between the trees making it easier to photograph. Did very little editing on this, it was indeed that color! Unfortunately, it only lasted a few moments.

On my way back home, I was lucky that the sky over (was it?) Greenland wasn't clouded. I was amazed to see glaciers running through the engine of the aircraft, and everybody in my row was turning their heads and pressing their noses.

Usa, New York, just left JFK Airport. Flying over Long Island: Island Park.

The Papadia viaduct in central Thessalia crosses a little branch of what would become the deep chasm of the Asopos gorge within a few kilometers. Nestled above in the distance is the village of Skamnos. A group of sleek cypresses marks the site of the little Aghios Eustachios chapel.

The opposite slopes are scarred by roads, the most prominent of them being the thoroughfare from Athens to Lamia.

I took the train to reach this remote place. The Elefterochori station is to the left out of the frame. The village of this name is also out of the frame left around the bend of the road up in the hills.

This was the second to last train I photographed here. After this shot I'd better move down towards the station where I would flag my train back to Lamia. Like Bruce Springsteen sings: Raise your hand! Good times were had.
