These french fries are a staple on our local boardwalk. There can often be a line that is quite long during the summer season...and above them are seagulls galore waiting for that one fry to drop.

These guys are deep fried alive, the oil later is used as ointment

(for rheumatism, so it is claimed). And, they don't become snacks, but they are brewed in hot water and the water is drank as some kind of tonic. So, when we are finally over with the corona virus don't be too happy, there are many more to come.

Last Friday night dinner. with chips, and hush puppies-shown in previous shot.

One evening, a little hungry and creative... decided to spice up my poor little drumstick... Basmati rice, a hot sauce and drizzled with fried mushrooms, carrots and mustard greens, yum, yum!

Abiding by the old rule that says "never slide down into anything too slippery to climb back out of", we declined to investigate further.

Pretty canyon though.
