We had great rain yesterday; started at the beginning of Friday prayer, rain fell about one and half hour, made Bandung flooded everywhere. People inside masjid were waiting, having some talks with others, reciting Quran, and also getting rest.

It was the last Friday of Ramadan and as usual the Mosque was full, so tarpaulins and mats were laid out in the carpark. This was the second Jammat (congregation), there were more there for the first one and the carpark was full of people then (including me). ... and the rain held off until prayers had finished too :)

The sign held by the old man says: O tyrants! Oppress and be arrogant, but don’t think you can stay forever or escape justice. Do know that your fate will be like that of the Pharaoh. (This refers to the Exodus story told by the Quran in Surat Al Baqarah verse 50 where Pharaoh’s people drowned in the Red Sea when chasing after Moses.) Shoe racks are prepared at all the entrances at the mosque since you can't wear shoes into the mosque for prayer.
