They recently tore this down -- recently as in a month ago. It broke my heart to see the land developers take such a beautiful thing away from us.

Fresh out of the oven and looking good enough to eat. This time I didn't forget the timer although we didn't have aluminium foil so I didn't cover the loaf during part of the baking time. I'm not sure it's required but I'll try it the next time I make this bread to see the result.
One thing I wonder about is why the dough fell. Is that normal?
Fresh chicken, anyone? The chicken stalls at the Kuching weekend market.

My haul from last Friday's farmer's market on the Northside. Not only is there amazingly fresh and delicious produce, cheese, pierogie, and baked goods - there are cooking demonstrations, activity tents for the kidlets (or anyone, really) and live music. It's a pretty sweet way to do your shopping!
