This location opened in September 1998 and closed in May 2018; it was originally a Food 4 Less, which opened in May 1990. It became a Rack & Sack in February 1995. Suite 26 became a Planet Fitness on July 8th, 2020 and suite 30 became a US Foods CHEF'STORE on January 25th, 2025.
Shot for the Utata Thursday Walk, across from my local post office. I went to mail my absentee ballot. For those of you in the states, don't forget to VOTE.
One of the two fresh air ducts underneath the Queensway tunnel. There is one duct either side of Central Avenue. The roof of this structure is the roadway.
A wide variety of fresh fish and seafood products are available in the market. This part of the market had a very distinctive odour!

For the Fresh & Funky Quilting Bee May block we needed to make a mosaic block. The only real stipulation was that we used white fabric for the sashing and that it wasn;t mmore than half an inch wide.
This evening's feast consisted of these and scallops straight from the fishing boat (we had to wait for them arriving!) On reflection, I should have taken an after pic , but we were too focused on eating them by then! It was all, extremely good as only very fresh seafood can be. Only one casulty...my thumb..one of these guys fough back rather hard and got a grip of me...so much for the 'not of course they can't hurt you' story I fed my kids...then end up standing yelling 'aghh..get it off me!'!!
Less is more, just bring water with salt and your own tatse of herbs in it (fresh preferably) and boil the langustines for 3 mins each, then drain and leave under cold running tap to cool and stop over cooking. Serve with crusty bread, salad and a seasoned mayonaise (this one had piri piri mix and lime juice.

Fresh organic food at the local farmers market. Farmers markets are a traditional way of selling agricultural products.
I ordered from Amazon from Japan seller not knowing there is already one with English translation. Nothing major because I work with a lot of bead recipes, I can read Kanji (Chinese text), Katana is relatively easy to translate something I can stumped with odd word. There is key of beads it tells the colour and what they are. Similar to berry tart I made a lot time ago. A good thing I did get this kit as helped me with current recipes I work with.
