Pre-dawn light on a windy morning in the Mesquite Dunes of Death Valley National Park.

Recently I spent a week touring the California desert to take photos of unprotected lands that are under threat of energy development, but I couldn't resist swinging through Death Valley on my way back to Vegas where I would catch my flight home. The cloudy skies didn't show much promise for color that morning (although they did eventually part to create dramatic golden light beams), so I decided to focus on the blowing sand with a telephoto lens. I thought I'd share this one before processing some of the more dramatic images

Fun facts about human ΣΛ☈S:

The inner ear is the main organ of balance.

A human ear contains about 24,000 fibers in it.

The human ear can distinguish between hundreds of thousands of different sounds.

The human ears can hear in the frequency of 1,000 to 50,000 hertz.

Your ears never stop hearing, even when you sleep. Your brain just ignores incoming sounds.

Tiny hair cells in your inner ear are what translates sound waves to electricity to send to the brain.

Your ears are responsible for the equilibrium and balance of the body - the inner ear has direct connection with the brain.

The inner ear is no larger than a pencil eraser in circumference.

The middle ear is composed of three small bones, and one among them, the stapes, is the smallest bone in the human body.

Children have more sensitive ears than adults.

The ears never stop growing through lifetime.

Your ears secrete more ear wax when you are afraid than when you aren't.

Sound that is above 130 decibels can cause pain to our ears.

After eating too much, your hearing is less sharp.

PHOTO ESSAY: THE FLYBOYS

Strobist info : foldable black background highlighed by a strobe in TTL at 24 mm. Model with the Godox Ad600 through octabox in TTL mode.

PP in PS : first step : frequency separation to clean skin and soften the hightlights and shadows on the face. Then I added layers for the color and texture with Topaz Texture. Finally, I modified the white background with Topaz texture.

Feel free to add any comment.

Mean blend of 7 exposures (1/1000s-1s), plus some frequency separation to bring out some coronal detail.

Here is the brother of the little princess I shot at the same moment (see previous shot in the gallery).

I tried to have a dark but fun background to focus on the Batman clothes.

I found the car here (thank you www.deviantart.com/art/Chevey-Impala-Stock-3-165482683 : iguanadongreenstock.deviantart.com/ ) :

I used the road of mysticmorning.deviantart.com/ here : mysticmorning.deviantart.com/art/Bryc-Render-Backg-433808876

And NY city from fairiegoodmother.deviantart.com/ here : fairiegoodmother.deviantart.com/art/New-York-Stock-7-1215...

Post-Processing : I made the image with all the background and objects in Photoshop.

I did frequency separation on the head.

I did dodge and burn on all the picture.

I used Topaz Adjust software to make a dark scenario.

I used Topaz texture effect to add leak lights and texture on the image.

Doing some test runs to identify various noises in the Frequency Spectrum when whatever it is that causes this noise problem is at its most quiet.

The idea is to do the actual noise measurements when it is at its loudest (usually but not always from Friday evenings to Saturday mornings) and then see if there are any correlations between the very disturbing noise (which will hopefully register then) and low frequencies.

I will probably have to do many such measurements before figuring it out.

Happy weekend ahead my Flickr's friends... 💮

Just like companies adding chemicals to food products in order to make them addictive, they can also do the same kind of things with TVs, computers, and cell phones. Let’s not even mention the dopamine hits from social media. These things can put people into a type of hypnotic state…glued to the screen. But what about real deal mind control, like talking into people’s heads? Well, ask your government about that…wink…wink. Now what about the future, when microchipping people becomes mandatory?

Zombies in a comatose state, living in a trance—Trans-humans, smoke and mirrors, illusions and delusions, your life in ruins. You know that the hivemind must think alike. Take the Mark and become one with the hive, one with the machine, one with the system. Take your first step, with your very own Vaccine Passport—your future LIES ahead. Propaganda, social engineering, little steps. One foot and then the other; Rome wasn’t built in a day. The serpent says, “Eat of the APPLE, you will not die. When you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God.” Eat up my little pretties; Baby steps. When our harvest is ripe and mature, you will walk right into our spiders WEB, right into the Mark of the Beast. Some things are too good to be true. Let’s just say: Dystopia isn’t the ultimate utopia.

Revelation 16:2 “The first angel went and poured out his bowl on the land, and ugly, festering sores broke out on the people who had the Mark of the Beast and worshiped his Image.”

Revelation 14:9-10 “A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: ‘If anyone worships the Beast and his Image and receives his Mark on their forehead or on their hand, they, too, will drink the wine of God’s fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. They will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb.’”

the lightning bolt created by a finger on a plasma ball.

A plasma globe or plasma lamp (also called plasma ball, dome, sphere, tube or orb, depending on shape) is (usually) a clear glass sphere filled with a mixture of various noble gases with a high-voltage electrode in the center of the sphere.

Plasma filaments extend from the inner electrode to the outer glass insulator, giving the appearance of multiple constant beams of colored light (see corona discharge and electric glow discharge).

The plasma lamp was invented by Nikola Tesla, during his experimentation with high-frequency currents in an evacuated glass tube for the purpose of studying high voltage phenomena. Tesla called his invention an "inert gas discharge tube". The modern plasma lamp design was subsequently developed by Bill Parker, a student at MIT.

Seen in King Street in Oldham displaying the old 184 destination of Uppermill. The 184 no longer comes this far out, nor are any scheduled to terminate in Uppermill. The 184 has been cut short to run between Oldham and Huddersfield only, along with the 180 which will now run between Greenfield and Oldham only, and have a frequency cut to ever hour and no longer run in the evening. The 84 is the replacement for the 184 to Manchester running up to every 10 minutes between Groton and Manchester, and every half hour to Uppermill. It also runs every half an hour to Uppermill in the evening which is an improvement on the 184 which was every hour to Uppermill.

#291/365 Sorry for the late post. I started to feel a little under the weather as of last night, so I got a late start this morning. This shot was inspired by Rodney ©'s The Control Panel. Not as 60's vintage as his..but more like an 80's retro. Enjoy Sunday. I'm hoping to feel better to do some portraits today.

This is an image that I feel encapsulates my current photographic situation. If you follow my work you may (or may not) have noticed that my frequency of uploads has tailed off somewhat and that is down to a few things. The first one is time, time to get out with the camera, time to process and time to upload. Lack of time has been a big factor for me throughout the past year, so much so that I no longer have a dedicated website for my portfolio of images and felt it was a waste of money when I couldn't keep it current. I did however set up a blog site but even that is starting to suffer.

Secondly processing images is becoming a chore, this could be down to me doing more film photography, but the truth is my current PC has become frustrating to use and to upgrade would be expensive so I simply store the digital files in the hope that I will be able to process them at a later date and hopefully on a faster PC.

But all rainy days have to end, and this is no different. My iPhone has been getting some use, allowing me to be more creative with simple snapshots like above and instant processing. So all is not lost, I'm still creating images which is important, I'm even jotting down potential projects to work on in the future. The lack of time out in the field with my dslr hasn't all been bad, it's given me perspective and when photographic opportunities come along I grab them and make the most of them even if it's for an hour or two.

Anyone out there in a similar situation, just hang in there ;-)
