These are all 18 volumes of the French translation of Izumi Matsumoto's (real name Kazuya Terashima) Kimagure Orange Road manga (Kimagure = Whimsical) , published in French in 1998 and 1999 by Flammarion under the J'ai Lu manga imprint. The original Japanese version ran in Weekly Shounen Jump magazine from 1984 to 1987.
It's basically a male-oriented teenage romance comedy story about Kyosuke Kasuga, an indecisive teenage boy with ESPer powers including telekinesis and teleportation (plus less-reliable hypnosis and time travel powers), who's interested in the beautiful but tempermental Madoka Ayukawa, while he tries to avoid hurting the feelings of the immature Hikaru Hiyama, who becomes infatuated with him after she accidentally sees him make an near impossible basketball shot while sitting down in an empty gym (she doesn't know he was using telekinesis).
Sadly, this manga series has never been officially published in English, though scanlations (scanned translations) of it are quite rampant, if you know where to look. The 48-episode anime TV series from 1987 plus the direct-to-video (OVA) and movie sequels were licensed and put out on VHS, LaserDisc, and DVD in English-subtitled format by AnimEigo, but they've lost the rights and it's generally considered too old-looking to likely be picked up by current anime licensors like Funimation.
Interestingly, Flammarion/J'ai Lu was already publishing manga in the unflipped right-to-left page format, keeping the orientation of the art of the Japanese version, intact over half a decade before Tokyopop made this commonplace with English-language manga translations. (I think they started doing this with City Hunter in 1995.)
ENGLISH. "If somebody takes your place it serves you right for leaving it empty". Or: "Step out of line and you'll lose your place". Translations of a french proverb found on this page.
Test. I made this trial thinking of Elliott Erwitt's photos (Museum Watching, Phaidon).
FRENCH.
