Class 66 loc 266 004 van Freightliner DE komt langzaam rijdend achter de stopper richting Wijchen door de ingraving in de Nijmeegse Kolpingbuurt, die kenmerkend lijkt uitgedost voor de zomer van 2021: overdadig groen en veelal grijze luchten. De trein zal over enkele ogenblikken station Nijmegen Goffert passeren. Aan de haak een Transcéréales graantrein met eindbestemming Oss. Het was even goed kijken of het mogelijk was om vanuit hier te fotograferen. Maar ik wilde eens iets anders dan steeds de voetgangersbrug iets verderop. En het was weer een eeuwigheid geleden dat ik hier voor het laatst stond. Dus eerst een oefenfoto gemaakt van een VIRMm en die bleek in orde. Er is nog een lager standpunt rechts net buiten beeld, maar ook daar moet eerst maar eens gesnoeid worden. Nijmegen, 11 juli 2021.

In het dal hoorde we in de verte een luid gebrul, wat niet anders kon zijn dan een class 66. Na enkele minuten gebrul doemde inderdaad een class 66 in de verte op.

Enkele jaren geleden, 2017 om precies te zijn, was bovenstaande foto al gemaakt toen er een dag in de omgeving van Rohrsen werd gefotografeerd. Ik was nooit echt tevreden met de foto en heb deze nu opnieuw bewerkt.
Freightliner 66002 (650 001) met een sleep volledig bestaande uit Transcereales, brulde op 13 mei 2017 door het slaperige gehucht Rohrsen toen zij kon worden gefotografeerd. Rohrsen, 13 mei 2017.
De PB02 is een oude bekende in Nederland (oa. Short Lines) maar rijdt tegenwoordig voor Freightliner DE. De inmiddels groene lok is met een graantrein vanuit Bad Bentheim onderweg naar Oss maar moest naar Tilburg Goederen om kop te maken. Dat leverde een passage op in 's-Hertogenbosch.
