SPEICHER XI is a historic warehouse which was built in 1911/12 within the Bremen freeport. Primary the warehouse was used for storage of imported cotton. Today it's the home of a harbour museum and the University Of Arts Bremen.

I did a short series here yesterday. I've been here like a hundred times over the years. It's a very special place to me and somewhere that I will always go when I need to get away from the world.
Haven't been posting much. Been a hectic year for me. On top of everything else going on, our family dog, Gretchen, passed away unexpectedly on Friday. We are totally devastated; she was only seven.

Freeport-McMoRan operates one of the world's largest copper and gold mining operations at Morenci in southeastern Arizona. The mine and facilities stretch 10 miles in length, mostly along U.S. Route 191. Freeport's mining railroad shuttles cars between the mine and a connection with the Arizona Eastern at Clifton on grades that run from 3 to 5%. The railroad rosters about a dozen GP38s and GP39s.

CN G884 holds at Hawthorne Yard in Cicero Illinois with a SOO SD60 leading. Not something you saw everyday on the Freeport Subdivision.
From almost 4 years ago, CN M337 rolls across the Fox River in South Elgin on the Freeport Subdivision with a KCS ES44AC and a CSX AC44CW for power.
The Freeport Fapper (Houston to Freeport TX) almost always has some interesting or foreign power. This Labor Day morning was no different.

CN 5654 leads a westbound manifest on the CN Freeport sub in Elmhurst, Il. The spring foliage is finally beginning to show alongside the tracks.
