TDY trip to Boston

People's taste in headstone design was just a tad different in the 17th and 18th centuries.

A christian group was playing music and giving food to homeless people. The pigeons were out in force to scavenge the scraps. Occassionally they would take flight without warning. At first it was startling because they'd fly past us with some on the right, left, and overhead and only miss us by inches. After a few times we were confident they wouldn't hit us and it bacame kinda cool.

The red paint is a tiny section of the Freedom Trail that winds through Boston. This section of the Freedom Trail is on the Washington Street Bridge. The Boston Harbor can be seen through the grate.
