Ascoltare Stallman nel '97, nonostante fossi già ben informato sul Free Software e sul progetto GNU è stato per me molto importante: Richard ha evidenziato particolarmente la questione etica legata al concetto di Free Software oltre ad aver narrato i problemi che hanno scaturito questo suo progetto. Da allora ho ben compreso come i brevetti sul software siano un grande ostacolo alla libertà di tutte le persone.

Per finire non poteva mancare una simpatica nota di colore: Richard e la sua vestizione in Sant' iGNUzio, con la benedizione nel nome della libera chiesa di Emacs, e come dice Richard, per esserne parte non servono voti di castità.
