Available in this listing is an awesome vintage suitcase that I made into a side table.
It's been painted in a warm white, but the old leather trim and the hardware remain untouched. I did redo the lining inside in a bright striped fabric. The wood spindle legs are re-purposed from another piece I have in my studio and are stable and strong.
It measures 24 inches wide by 18 inches long and 9 inches deep. The top of the closed suitcase is 24 inches from the floor. It's very roomy.
I've reinforced the inside of the bottom of the suitcase with 1/4 inch plywood for strength and stability. It's not visible from the inside or the outside. The legs are attached directly to the bottom of the suitcase and up through the wood I put inside and under the lining.
A really distinctive and different accent piece. High quality and very cute.
