I finished my first project of 2015 -- Pepto Bisdog! I have Schnookie to thank for this. Pepto was languishing in a WIP box since this summer because I was a little scared of how to attach the second side without it getting all misshapen. But then the other night Schnookie got her '30s Scottie Dog out and the nerve to finish it! WHAT??! THIS CANNOT BE! I'm the person who finishes stuff first! ME! She described it as being like in a sci-fi/fantasy movie when the plucky hero gets the magic gemstone and by putting it back in it's setting, saps the evil sorceress's powers. I was that evil sorceress, and magic finishing powers were being seriously sapped. I had to fight back!
I fought back by finishing Pepto Bisdog today. I'm going to take him to the big sewing shop by work to see if I can find him a jaunty pink bow, but other than that, he's all done! Attaching the second side really wasn't that tough. I should have just powered through when I started him. Of course, then I wouldn't be kicking off 2015 with a finished project!
Meanwhile, I also did a bit more on Flunchtime Florals, my pink checkerboard quilt. I have five of 25 blocks done.

I took this picture next to the old Rio Grande Train Station in Salt Lake City, Utah on a disposable black and white Kodak camera. The hotel was once a first class joint, and as many hotels of the early 1900's, has turned into a low low class joint. Crack whore hotel central. I added the effects in printshop and used this picture for the cover of my poem "Heroin and Cocaine". Both picture and poem are available for free download at youpublish.com.

They say space is the final frontier! Many movies have been exploring the ultimate of human desires; some of them have soared, while others, in unknown numbers, have crash landed instead. The Cosmonaut is one film that has already soared above all others as the first, fully crowd funded, Creative Commons Licensed project of a grandiose scale. This beautifully shot sci-fi drama is out TODAY, FREE around the world and simultaneously on the web, TV, DVD and in the theaters.
“The Cosmonaut” is surely bound to change the relationship between content creators and their audiences and forever alter “the paradigm of understanding how to finance, produce & distribute the movie.”
Set in 1967, right of the boom of the Space Age, it focuses on three friends and their journey through life, space and the moon. “The Cosmonaut” is a film that takes viewers to a psychological, emotional and even romantic love story among its three protagonists.
The main story revolves around Stas as he “gets lost in space. When he comes back, he finds Earth completely empty. Yulia and Andrei wait for him in a collapsing world. How far would you go for love?” This subject of love and emotion plays a central role in the film.
As exciting as its story, the actual making of the film is also a journey worth being told. It’s the first film to be released under Riot Cinema Collective and has successfully used crowdfunding (raising more than 400 thousand Euros) to produce and create the entire film.

The 23-year old Bulgarian artist Ruth Koleva, who gained recognition by one of the biggest music producers of today, Mark Ronson, became one of the forces of the Bulgarian music scene, and is storming towards a spotlight on the international scene.
Silky, expressive voice, being her own songwriter, as well as an intimate atmosphere that her songs carry made Ruth Koleva clearly stand out in the ocean of modern music.
Her authentic, modern soul interpretations with influences by performers such as the great Erykah Badu brought her huge success, especially with her debut album, Within Whispers, released in 2011, as well as her latest album Ruth, released this October.
