Here I am. Sitting at home, listening to Bjork's new album Volta, trying to not think of how hot it is in our apartment, when I remembered that Saturday was "24 hours of Flickr".
For comic book geeks like me, it also happened to be FCBD (Free Comic Book Day) and I was going to take a photo at my favorite comic book store, Comic Universe. Well that didn't happen. I forgot Betsy at home.
The photo you see above is that of my girlfriend Sheri and I. We had friends over for Cinco De Mayo and one of them took a photo of the two of us. It happened to be one of the only photos taken on Betsy that day. I think it's a good photo of the two of us. Enjoying our night with our friends.
A nice way to end a really good day.
The time has come once again. I can't believe how fast time flies...Last year was my very first Free Comic Book Day and I'm planning on making this a yearly tradition from now on. I hope you all were able to participate and get some comics today! The highlights of my little comic book haul are the Civil War, Captain America, and Suicide Squad comics! Great stuff. Also, tonight I'm going to go and see Captain America: Civil War! I can't wait. Stay tuned for a review of the movie tomorrow. :)
That's all for now...
I've known about Free Comic Book Day for 3 years now, but the past 2 years I forgot what day it was on, so this was officially my first ever Free Comic Book Day! I went to two places. The first one, the limit was only three, but thanks to my dad, I was able to get six! They were also giving away that free Avengers Age Of Ultron Magazine for free! Then the second place I got only two comics (They were pretty much all the same ones at each location. This was really fun, and I got my very first comics! Yeah...I know, It's crazy. :P Anyway, I can't wait to do this next year and I can't wait to go and see Avengers Age Of Ultron tonight! Such a fun day. :)
That's all for now!
I got some great comics during this year's Free Comic Book Day, including; The Walking Dead 163: Conquered, DC Rebirth Wonder Woman, Captain America: Secret Empire, All-New Guardians Of The Galaxy, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!
This is my third year taking part in this event and I plan to continue doing it as long as it's still around. I mean, come on...Who doesn't want free comics? :P
This day get's even better because tonight I'm gonna go see Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2! Sadly, I've already had multiple things spoiled for me about the movie...But I'm still going to enjoy watching it. That's pretty much all for now!
