Earlier, when driving to my planned location I noted this small disused barn and thought it might be worth returning to later and could look good with a sunset background. By the time I arrived back the sun had just dropped below a distant hill, giving a wonderful soft glow of summer colour. A barn owl flew out, I quickly took two shots bracketed, merged into Lightroom to help with both highlights and shadows. I really like the bricks and how they reflected the warm colours.

Whilst Rosie was being chased full pelt by Lexie around a shrub in Rob's front garden we all had a great time for the twenty minutes complete freedom she had this day.
She's so light and agile and curious and overflowing with life, she jumps every fence and gate we put up or continuously modify before her. Very sadly, we have to tie her up in the orchard several times during the day so that she cannot threaten the lambs still being born amongst Rob's neighbours.
She does get a very long walk down the fields with me and another dog every day. I take the pups down in pairs on long leads so they can run and dig in the hedgerows
Here, free, she was life before my eyes. :-)
