With MoW windows on the North end of the railroad between Springdale and Monett, the rare opportunity to shoot the A&M's FSTN in daylight occurred. Here, the three, freshly washed, Arkansas & Missouri EMD SD70ACes roll South across the Frog Bayou with around 1,600 feet of traffic for Van Buren & Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Colors seem to come out more vivid at sunsets... when the air is cleared of dust, after rain. There is also added advantage of finding the odd puddle pool which I can make use, for a bit of reflection. New harbour, south of Maley island.
The streaking lights are from vehicles zooming past people in the scene.
Well, Freaky Fireworks Fotos for Friday, and the next to the last day for Aloes Series 1. Today, the reddest of all red Aloes, the Aloe Maculata. It's also known as the Zebra Aloe, certainly not because of the flower, but because of the base and leaves.
This may be, color-wise, the most consistent of the aloe flowers. It is the deepest red I've seen in the Garden even including cacti. Just before it blooms, it can be a brick red and get even deeper.
Attaching a strand of lights to my Nikon D7000 and then having Hadley swing them like a jump rope…. Weird, but fun.

This lovely tomato couple had traveled down from Skeldale in North Yorkshire, using the Trans Pennine Railway. After a difficult, hot, late and crowded journey they arrived at Liverpool Lime Street. As you can see he's not in the best of moods.

In this eerie, desolate landscape, a beaten-up wooden door juts out from a crumbling wall, wrapped in gnarly, twisted vines that look like they're ready to grab you. The field is filled with tall, creepy grasses swaying under a dark, oppressive sky. This doorway isn't inviting; it's straight-up terrifying, like it's daring you to step into your worst nightmares. The air is thick with a sense of doom, making it hard to breathe. It feels like every shadow is watching you, waiting for you to make a move. This whole scene screams "stay away" in the most unsettling way possible.

One night while sitting in our lounge room down in Burnie, Tasmania, we started to notice everything turning pink outside the windows. I grabbed the only camera at hand which was the big medium format film 3D camera, and grabbed this single shot from our front garden. It was changing fast and this was all gone and just another dull grey evening within 20 seconds!
It was just a mix of a briefly vivid sunset behind me shining through a very narrow gap in the clouds lighting up some unusually low cloud that had rolled in over us leaving a very shaded deep blue sky beyond the lower level of the low clouds. It made for a momentarily eerie scene.
Being such a hasty shot, I didn't have time to grab a tripod, and from memory, the exposure time was very slow - perhaps just 1/15th of a second, hence it is not perfectly focussed or steady, but I just had to grab something from this single amazing minute of colour.
Original colour slide was taken around 2007 with a 3D World medium format stereo film camera using Fuji Provia 100F colour slide film. Scanned with a Canon R10 with RF24-240mm lens and Nisi close up attachment.
