--- okay, so this polaroid was from my little adventure today with Charlie. it was awesome and the view was amaaaazing, but little did we know how crazy of a "walk" we got ourselves into, lol. I mean, we had to hike over the mountain thru some trees, then some ridiculous trails, sandy roads and a bajillion stairs to get down to that beach, then back up the mountain to get back to civilization.. all this in the blaring sun while, me lugging around 2 cameras, and him, lugging 3 (two pretty damn heavy film cams at that too), hahah. anywhooo, we made it out alive and then quenched ourselves with some good old boba at TapEx afterwards :)

The stray dog in Groendal, Franschhoek — where the well-heeled rub shoulders with the poorest of the poor, and probably prefer not to.

#InternationalDogDay

As of right now most of the "Flickr Family" (Jersey, Ken, Charlie, Keico, Mika, Toki, Shereen, and Jolo) is in town hanging out and shooting. I have really been looking forward to this all summer as it's kind of a mini vacation even though I live here. So many day trips combined with shooting along the way. When Flickr was created I wonder if they thought people would make these kind of connections with each other. Even though found each other here, we are now some of the best of friends in real life whom share a common love.

the title “zart” (tenderly, gently) comes from being sensitive to our familiar environment, re-encountering the public space of the city, again seeing the well-known with care and subtlety.

Here is the shop I was telling you about where the show will be held tomorrow night. A couple of the biggest shots are there in the front window.....kind of appropriate seeing's how this area used to be an air force base.

It's a small show....10 pieces.....but, it's a start. If you can stop by for a glass of wine and a chance for a prize....please do.
