Yes, there's a new baby in my sx-70 family, and this time it's a boy. I've named him Charlie after my dear friend :)

I know i have too many cameras, but when i saw the offer in a buy and sell website, I just couldn't help it!!

I went to the owner's house to check if the camera worked before buying it, and oh my, it was in mint condition and came with the original box and the user manual. I took a few pics of the owner's little son, checked it worked fine, and left with my new camera with a big smile on my face :D

This park was originally full of factories. After these factories move to another location, the government decided to renovated into a shopping and cultural centre. Stores in here sell many different unique products that you will not find anywhere else in Taiwan. Many of these stores are nicely decorated. I especially fell in love with this store that I had to take a selfie with my girlfriend.

Charlie Charlie is the best tour guide in S.F!!!

sweetheart, I didn't scan the instant photo yet, forgive me please. ;))

Pen F sitting on Charlie's Pen FT at a cafe on Guerrero street.

Japanese are crazy!! :D According to Charlie, you could get this TINY TINY Pen F as a promo for Asahi beer. Can you ever imagine Budweiser giving away tiny Argus C3 for marketing today??

My only questions is, well, it was for Asahi Beer right? Why not a camera from Asahi Pentax?? :p

Charlie from our vintage weekend.

Have a great weekend everyone!

films from vintage weekend with charlie are still waiting to be developed. meanwhile, I just developed two tmax400 @ iso1600 this evening.

some people say tmaxes are not good for pushing, but i like it. and it's cheap. :p

I'd love to get one of these little beauties someday, but feeding my girl in charlie's pic is all i can afford right now. ;)

Here's the 3rd theme: wasting time

actually there were charlie, ken, me in the same frame. maybe Jen can figure it out... ;p

that was a tired day but so much fun, we dropped off in the muni and had a good dream all the time. charlie charlie brought about 3~5 heavy cameras on, I bet his bag was like 10kg or 12kg, unfortunately that's almost 1/3 weight of him. I wondered how come he could carry such a heavy bag whole day, maybe he's super strong not like his look.

"Have to Drive" by Amanda Palmer

Yeah, I know there are a few black spots but after spending SEVEN HOURS on this I have decided to find out WHY imovie did that tomorrow. If anybody knows what caused it (i transferred it in from Framebyframe where it was fine) please save me from wasting anymore time trying to figure it out!!!

i realize this doesn't exactly fit the mood of the shot, but this photo reminds me of a...

fun fact: i do my hair the same way almost every single day because it's so insanely long now that i don't really know what to do with it. the last time i had hair even close to this long was when i was 5 years old.

fun story: when i was 5 years old my mother told me i needed a haircut, which i thought she meant as in "cut off all your hair." i got so terrified of having to go to a stylist and get my hair cut off that i decided it would be a much better idea to just do it myself. my mom's best friend was over for dinner and they were having a glass of wine on the couch when they heard a blood-curdling scream from the bathroom. unfortunately, they arrived much too late. a good foot-long bunch of my hair was laying on the floor and i was sobbing uncontrollably. with my heart broken and my plans foiled, i ended up going to the stylist anyway to have it shaped (which, by the way, i thought meant 'to have geometric shapes cut into my hair' when my mother said that). i had done such damage that to get it all even she had to cut my hair basically bowl-cut length around my ears. after that it always just seemed like a hassle to let my hair grow so long (i get really frustrated with it) until now, 15 whole years later...which brings us back to the beginning of my story.

"Undenied" by Portishead

OMG what has flickr done to the colours?! *sigh* oh well.

I did all of these shots today, using a remote that only takes ONE SHOT AT A TIME so excuse the jumpiness as I really needed a human remote for this to work better :)

More black spots!!! Why imovie, WHY??!!

This one is for my buddies Jim Blob Blann, chcharlie, and *reesie who have been encouraging and teaching me to be brave when shooting strangers. This is a photo of my waitress...I actually asked her if I could get a shot of her. Aren't you proud?

The little kitty (not the luncheon mat) was a gift that Charlie picked up for me in Japan. she is usually holding this pic from shinobu-san.

And the super fancy chocolates are from Charlie's chocolate shop in the SF shopping center. They are too cute to eat!!

Thank you sooooooooooo much Charlie!!!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Picasa 3 has a Movie > Create facility so I thought I'd create another one as I found that one of the Transition Styles is called "Time Lapse".

My first "long photo" to try out the new flickr video option.

Rather than a "long photo" I've edited down the SQUARED CIRCLES movie I have on youtube and it seems to be working.

--- okay, so this polaroid was from my little adventure today with Charlie. it was awesome and the view was amaaaazing, but little did we know how crazy of a "walk" we got ourselves into, lol. I mean, we had to hike over the mountain thru some trees, then some ridiculous trails, sandy roads and a bajillion stairs to get down to that beach, then back up the mountain to get back to civilization.. all this in the blaring sun while, me lugging around 2 cameras, and him, lugging 3 (two pretty damn heavy film cams at that too), hahah. anywhooo, we made it out alive and then quenched ourselves with some good old boba at TapEx afterwards :)
