Photo Frame - last two steps

The four little tabs slip into the pockets between layers of paper, locking the frame.

If you use this method with overlapping pleats to make a pop-up display card you might leave two tabs out to lock the card in the closed position - see pop-up card example

Penscynor Wildlife Park was a wildlife and safari park within South Wales

In 1966, Neath builder Idris Hale bought the semi-derelict Penscynor House in Cilfrew. The 11-acre grounds then became home to a large collection of exotic parrots and a number of charity days were held in response to public demand to see the birds. The Wildlife’s main attractions were the penguin pool, the chimpanzees enclosure and the reptile house.

Many of the enclosures still existed as of 2012, including the chimp houses and penguin pool. All structures are derelict, and in poor condition.

Shot for the "Framing" Challenge in Compositionally Challenged Group. It was -4 feeling like -11 C when I went for a wee walk this morning - great start to an interesting day.

I submitted this photo in the the Daily echo's 'Through the Lens' project. It was picked as one of the favourites! I didn't actually find out until my friend told me! Very very happy!

Got around to framing some of my prints tonight. Once I finish my 6th, I'll decide where to hang these. I need to go back and print out my Inkblots too. Sorry for the poor photo quality.

This is my best framing photo. I chose this photo since it has a clear focal point and it easily recognizable. In Lightroom I tried to reduce the color noise but that made some of the detail get lost. I tried to keep the skin color as true as possible by editing the colors but it made some colors appear more noisy than others. From a technical standpoint it is not the best but I think it does its job in regards to framing the subjects eyes.

Killala Round Tower, Killala, Co. Mayo. I like how from this view it's framed by clouds.

Round towers were used as belfries and watch-towersin Irish monasteries.

This tower is over 25 metres tall and stands on a low plinth. The round-headed doorway was positioned three metres above the ground for security. The tower was probably built in the 12th century AD as part of a monastic establishment which included small oratories for private prayer, cells for the monks to sleep, graveyards and a community church - probably on the site where the present Church of Ireland Cathedral now stands.

The original monastic foundation probably goes back to the 5th century whehn Saint Patrick appointed Muiredach as first Bishop of Killala.
