Little Loch Broom from inside the old schoolhouse.
Not only was there the wood panelling still inside, but there was cupboards in the alcoves next to the chimney too!
This picture shows just how complex the joinery is in Timber Frame construction. Imagine having to understand where each and every one of these pieces would fit and then fabricating the mortices and tenons the shop piece by piece. Its a highly skilled process.
A view from the skyway into the head house of the St. Paul Union Depot. The depot has a palette of colors matching those when it was completed in 1923.

I had alot of fun revamping the design from my past frames. Created Three different modes for this frame: Burst, Flight, and Battle.
This not my best example of framing but my main focus was to try to frame the ocean. I edited this photo using the vintage slide and I enhanced the colors of the sky

It's been a long time since i did something with a frame. Like you can see, in Quebec this year, we don't have a lot of snow.
Ca faisait longtemps que j'avais pas fait une photo avec un cadre.

Too much shade in the forground, but then it created the perfect test of the metering system with a half light/half dark scene. The sky is more blown out than the shaded area being too dark, which is easy enough to fix in post. Oh, and those pesky power wires in the corner have to go too.

The old Northfield freight house still stands in the chill of early December. The Boston and Maine Railroad no longer runs through the small town, but the tracks are still occasionally used by the cabooses as well as the New England Southern Railroad. The freight house is in good shape, and sports the classic B&M maroon and gold paint.

I added this frame from Elements and I haven't got a clue how I did it. I must get my mentor (MarkyD31) to give me another lesson :o)
This frame was found at the dollar store and I just painted the outside with tan and white washed the edges. I covered the matting with cardstock and stamped with a variety of Melissa Frances stamps to create the background using fall colors. I also stamped and cut out a few of the leaves to put on top of the glass. The rub on saying is adhered to the top of the glass as well, along with the chipboard letters. The resin pieces really finish off the project and make what was an inexpensive frame look so elegant.

Decided that framing cost to much for its own good. Bought mahogany stair trim to mostly match the cherry in the speakers. 1/10th the price. But wouldn't do again without a proper mat cutter.

My first "handmade" frame, purchased in 1993-4(?) used but straight and with a great new paint job. Built by Don Francisco Cuevas here in New York. This bicycle saw many years and MANY miles of hard duty till finally buckling under the pressures of NYC use. I'd say this is the bike that later inspired me to learn the art.
i have posted this before but i've done a special framed edition especially for mothers day.
