Artist Statement:

"Echolalia" explores the dissonance of internal repetition—voices inside the self, identities that echo, and thoughts that loop. The figures are not a group; they are a singular consciousness splintered across moments of memory, trauma, and desire. As the mind tries to reconstruct itself, it leaves behind fluid traces of what was once a cohesive “I.”

The surface grime, the ruined clothing, and the volatile eruption from the head suggest decay—but the expressions offer ambiguity: are they lost in rapture or breaking under pressure? This work is a portrait of psychic rupture, but also of transcendence through multiplicity. The self is never one. It is chorus, confusion, echo.

This piece, titled “Anatomy of Silence,” delves into the disassembly and reconstruction of identity, symbolized through mannequin parts carefully laid out on a table like tools or instruments awaiting use. The surrounding mannequins, headless and silent, evoke a sense of eerie stillness as though they are watching the process of deconstruction. The spotlighted legs and arms add to the feeling of dismemberment, suggesting that identity, like the body, can be broken down into parts and reassembled based on external forces or internal choices.

The shadows and the foggy, dim environment heighten the sense of isolation and introspection, as if this scene is taking place in a hidden workshop of the mind, where identities are shaped, manipulated, and restructured. The scattered tools and parts invite the viewer to consider what is necessary to “build” a person, and whether these fractured pieces can ever form a whole.

This piece, titled “Suspended Echoes,” is a haunting representation of isolation and disconnection. The hanging mannequin legs, suspended by chains in an eerie, fog-filled space, evoke a sense of being trapped in a state of limbo, neither grounded nor free. The lack of torsos or heads amplifies the feeling of fragmentation, as if these forms represent incomplete or forgotten aspects of identity. The cracked, barren ground below adds a layer of desolation, suggesting that even though these forms are suspended above the earth, they are still connected to the brokenness below.

The repetition of the legs, arranged in almost perfect symmetry, evokes a feeling of monotony or uniformity, as if these identities have been reduced to mere components. The interplay of light and shadow creates a stark contrast, highlighting the sense of mystery and detachment from reality. This piece invites the viewer to reflect on themes of abandonment, the dehumanizing effects of societal expectations, and the haunting nature of incomplete identity.

This piece, titled “The Tower of Steps,” presents a surreal composition of mannequin legs and feet, stacked together in a formation that rises upward like a monument. The cracked, barren ground beneath contrasts with the upward motion of the legs, symbolizing the human desire for progress or movement, even when faced with desolation. The rising legs, cut off at the knees, evoke a sense of struggle to ascend or break free, yet their lack of completeness suggests that the journey is unfinished or hindered.

The atmosphere, shrouded in mist, creates an otherworldly mood, as if this structure exists in a liminal space—a place between action and inertia, between freedom and limitation. The scattered legs at the base of the tower further emphasize the fragmentation of identity and purpose, raising questions about whether these isolated parts can ever unite into something whole.

This piece, titled “The Crate of Forgotten Selves,” captures a surreal and unsettling moment of disarray, as mannequin parts spill out of an oversized crate onto a cracked, desolate ground. The composition symbolizes the chaos of fragmented identity, with torsos, legs, and arms emerging as if they have been stored away, discarded, or forgotten. The headless forms emphasize the anonymity and loss of individuality, suggesting that these “selves” have been stripped of their uniqueness and reduced to parts that no longer fit together.

The foggy, barren landscape further reinforces the feeling of isolation and abandonment, as these pieces of the human form are scattered across a space devoid of life. The crate, now open, hints at the idea of revealing hidden aspects of oneself or confronting parts of our identity that we may have left behind. This piece asks the viewer to consider how we compartmentalize or repress parts of ourselves, and what happens when those aspects are finally brought to light.

This piece, titled “The Reach of the Forgotten,” explores themes of helplessness, longing, and disconnection. The disembodied mannequin arms, scattered across a cracked, desolate landscape, seem to be reaching upward, as if grasping for something just beyond their reach. Above them, headless mannequins stand motionless, observing without the ability to connect or intervene. The fog and muted lighting contribute to an atmosphere of isolation, as if this scene exists in a forgotten realm, where incomplete identities struggle to make themselves whole again.

The juxtaposition of the grounded arms and the standing figures evokes a sense of separation, symbolizing the struggle between aspiration and reality, or the distance between desire and fulfillment. The piece invites viewers to reflect on themes of abandonment, identity, and the human need for connection, even when that connection seems impossible.

Siamo mai davvero un’unica persona? Oppure siamo l’incontro tra ciò che mostriamo e ciò che scegliamo di tenere nell’ombra? La luce divide, ma non svela del tutto. L’oscurità cela, ma non annulla.

“Tear of the Interface” captures a moment of unraveling—where the synthetic mask that conceals identity begins to degrade, exposing something both mechanical and vulnerable beneath. The glowing red voids suggest not malice, but intense introspection. This piece is about peeling back protective layers, even when we’re unsure of what remains inside.

“Exhale” captures the moment when identity crumbles not in collapse, but in release. The figure emerges from a wall of concrete, dissolving piece by piece into abstraction. Yet her expression is not one of pain—but peace. This is not erosion as destruction, but as evolution. The fragments that fall away are not lost—they are offerings to freedom.

“Unstitched Algorithm” examines the tension between exterior assembly and internal fracture. The subject — a synthetic proxy of selfhood — tilts as if straining under the algorithmic weight of its own design. The fractured crown is both relic and restraint, hinting at inherited roles that no longer fit. Through minimalism and stark composition, this work asks: When do we stop being built and start becoming?

️ Artist Statement:

“Cognitive Collapse” is an invocation of the moment before total breakdown the psychic shatterpoint. The figure, half statue, half vaporized code, holds its own head as it disintegrates into geometric fragments. This is not death, but disassembly. An unmaking.

We are architectures of memory, and memory is brittle.

The tension between smooth skin and cracked façade invites the viewer to question where identity lives within the flesh, the pattern, the thought, or the ruin. The open mouth is not just scream or breath it’s the threshold between containment and release.

The work emerges from my larger exploration of fragmented consciousness, algorithmic memory, and the ruins we carry within ourselves.
