The Foursquare Rum Distillery was started in 1996 and this 1998 vintage was not released for bottling until 10-years later (July 2008). The 10-year plus vintage Barbados rum is simply divine.
The celebrated operations of Foursquare Rum Distillery and Heritage Park in Barbados, is the “brain child” of owner, Sir David Seale, one of Barbados' oldest rum families. R.L. Seale and Co. Ltd., a wholly family owned and operated rum company, dates to the 1820s, this family business is one of the last remaining Barbadian manufacturers of rum and one of the last independent manufactures of the spirit in the Caribbean.
Sir David Seale is also a noted thoroughbred owner and the President of the Barbados Turf Club and also their Cricket Club. He races horses in the UK and Barbados. Additional information on Sir David:
