FOUND ITEMS: those 'lost' objects found on the streets, sidewalks, and beaches of SAN FRANCISCO

I'm continuing with my attempt to make an assemblage for each day of the song mentioned in "The Twelve Days of Christmas". (Warning: I do take liberties with the lyrics and assemblages. *S*)

On the 8th Day of Christmas my true love gave to me....

For some reason the idea of posting flyers for a charity dinner on a trash can does not strike me as a good idea.

I had a breezy wait on the next train, sustained winds during the noon hour were 45 mph with gusts of 60! One almost knocked me off my feet!

The Gerhke Windmill Garden is in North Dam Park between Electric City and the town of Grand Coulee. It contains over 200 windmills made of found objects. They were all built by Emile Gerhke during the 1950's and 1960's.

This small box contained an odd assortment of small blocks, enough perhaps to build a miniature neo-classical folly. The background grid is ruled with one-centimeter squares.

Transferred images, hinged doors, found objects. Hawaiian theme on framed reclaimed wood.

5 x 4 x 10 inch shadowbox

The cemetery made from found objects in my backyard is overgrown. The installation is an ongoing project that has been erected in one form or another since the 80's. Some of the objects have been exhibited as standalone pieces, but mostly the markers are in a state of decay [ process ].
