Jane doesn't know about the coming snowstorm but this afternoon we saw two squirrels together running around on the train tracks and one very fluffy black cat.
After my afternoon marathon of conference calls, we went to the living room to look for more cool stuff and she let me get this snap of her.

Jane is taking advantage of the clear skies today for a nice bath in the sun.
Tomorrow morning we could see snow so I know I'll be arguing with her about going out on the porch.
Olympus 55mm f/1.2 @ f/2 via a Fotodiox adapter.
Took this photo on my sun deck with a Sony A6000 body and Fotodiox Pro Adapter mated to a Canon 100-400L lens. Hand held and manual focus. The little Sony continues to amaze me.

I captured the aperture ring of my Vivitar 90mm f/2.8 macro by using another "Frankenstein" setup:
- my beloved Pentax Macro Takumar SMC 50mm f/4 wide open;
- a Kenko Teleplus MC7 2X macro teleconverter;
- a Tilt-Shift adapter, to slightly increase the DOF on the numbers without closing the aperture.
The resulting magnification is 0.8X.
I hope that you will like the result.
Stay safe and healthy, dear friends, and have a nice Saturday evening!!! ;-)
Dear friends, I'm going on with my experiments in using the tilt-shift adapter. This time, I tilted the focal plane to follow the point of the first pencil.
I hope that you will like the result. Have a nice evening! 🙋♂️
"Old": Aeneid (Eneide, in Italian), Latin epic poem written by Virgil between 29 and 19 BC.
"New": Kalevala, Finnish epic poem written by Elias Lönnrot in the 19th-century (even if based on ancient Finnish and Karelian folklore and mythology).
And the third book? Well, actually it is an anthology of English language that I used when I was a teenager... but the title was well suited to the theme of this Tuesday! 😅
Have a nice evening, dear friends! 🙋♂️😉

Dear friends, for the theme of this week I decided to experiment by using a tilt-shift adapter. I tilted the focal plane to follow the cubes and, with the shift movement, I tried to correct a bit the perspective distortion.
The final effect is a bit weird, but I found it funny, therefore I decided to share it.
I hope that you will like the result. Have a nice Friday! 🙋♂️

There are times when no inspiration appears. The weather sucks, nothing is blooming, travel is impossible and a bout with depression looms. Then I look over and my cat, Mel is sleeping entwined in shadows from the venetian blinds. Bingo! Yashica AF 35-70 Macro 3.3-4.5 with Fotodiox Pro to Nikon F adaptor
