A Green Heron does some scouting for baitfish on Horsepen Bayou. Could it extend to the water from this height? Stay tuned.

A typical summer severe thunderstorm in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. I’m looking forward to chasing these storms in the Midwest in the next coming months with my friends at SkyScape.
Anyway, thanks for scrolling far enough to see my dumb little picture. If you are interested in seeing how I create my dumb little pictures you can head to www.ryandyar.com or check out the link in my profile. I have a new video that shows how I take crappy photos and make them much less crappy.
The gelada sometimes called the bleeding-heart monkey or the gelada "baboon", is a species of Old World monkey found only in the Ethiopian Highlands.
I must tell you this, Horace has been watching the recent ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ competition on the TV and quite fancies having a go at ballroom dancing himself, however his joints needs a bit of loosening up as he finds it difficult coordinating his trotters. 🐷
So Horace phoned a local dance studio and asked if they could teach him to do the splits, they responded “how flexible are you at the moment” Horace responded “I can’t make Fridays”. 🙈
What a year it has been, who would ever believe we would be talking about the same subject as we were this time last year, all we can do is look forward with hope in 2022. 👍😊
Thank you all for viewing my photographs, along with the comments and general banter we have here on Flickr.♥️🙏
You have heard me say it before but I will say it again, “a smile costs nothing, but it enriches those who receive it”.😁😇

It's been a weird retrospective week - As most people know I'm kinda known for not just frogs, but animal mechs in general.
And sometimes it's like It feels like I'm making these stories up... but I'm not...
But on Wednesday - Blair pointed pointed out these cool Frog based Gundam suits... and the SAME day, Same day I wrote the Visor + LEGO Dad article, I get an awesome package from random gift package from Adam, which contained: Frogs and Brickforge Visors.
... I'm not joking. So I started working on this pair, trying to find something that resembled the gundam.
I started doing stickering last night - and 1ssac posted HIS pink frog build and tagged me on IG ... and this morning Someone ELSE pointed out the gundam sets....
... Yeah this is meant to be. :)

Staying home these past few weeks has allowed me to reflect back on some past trips and adventures, as well as look forward to future ones once these dire times are over, whenever that may be.
I've never released this image even though I processed it several years ago. I stumbled upon these two crossing sword ferns as a friend and I took a late afternoon hike one day. The sun was nice enough to split two of the giant trees (super small in this wide angle image). Seeing this image on my hard drive reminded me to stay patient and positive as brighter times will always be ahead.
Happy spring. Beautiful season but beware of pollens. Poppy blossom from the backyard few years past.

Paul Claudel’s reflections on the crucifixion are gathered in a meditation on the Apostle’s Creed titled I Believe in God. When Jesus was trying to get across to his disciples what their discipleship would involve, particularly the mother of the sons of Zebedee, he talked about servants and slaves and declared, “[T]he Son of man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many” (Matt 20:28). Claudel observes, centuries later, “Well, if it is true that you came to serve, I daresay you got what you were after!” and then criticizes the casual attitude we have toward Christ in the liturgy: “It is painful to know that you are here at our disposal and that we can think of no better use for you than to help pass that tedious half hour before dinner on Sunday.”6 Familiarity has deadened our amazement. “A god is about to die before our eyes. . . . On the very brink of this act by which all things exist he found no way to defend himself from the shaft of love. The earth trembles and gapes, the curtain of the temple is torn from top to bottom, the graves vomit up their dead. There is a universal shuddering of the whole creation around the cross. On all sides things break asunder and yawn open.”7 The first creation, the one we stained with sin, had to be split open so that the seed of new life could find its way to the surface. And to plant such a seed in ourselves, we, too, must be split open. The blows of the hammer upon the nails in his hands must be redirected to us in order to crack us open. But this feels impossible, Claudel laments. “I feel that I have undertaken something beyond my strength. These wings of wood, how can I adjust them to sit on my shoulders?”
