Quote from the great Bruce Lee - Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless — like water. Now you put water in a cup, it becomes the cup; You put water into a bottle it becomes the bottle; You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

The light came through the window,

Straight from the sun above,

And so inside my little room

There plunged the rays of love.

In streams of light I clearly saw

The dust you seldom see,

Out of which the nameless makes

A name for one like me.

All busy in the sunlight

The flecks did float and dance,

And I was tumbled up with them

In formless circumstance.

1. I, the pure, stainless and infinite Consciousness beyond maya, look upon this body in action like the body of another.

2. The mind, the intellect, the senses, etc. are all the play of Consciousness. They are unreal and seem to exist only due to lack of insight.

3. Unmoved by adversity, a friend of all the world in prosperity, without ideas of existence and non-existence, I Live free from misery.

4. Inactive am I, desireless, clear as the sky, free from hankering, tranquil, formless, everlasting and unmoving.

5. I have now clearly understood that the five elements, the three worlds and I myself are pure Consciousness.

6. I am above everything ; I am present everywhere ; I am like space; I am that which (really) exists; I am unable to say anything beyond this.

7. Let imaginary waves of universe rise or fall in me who am the ocean of infinite Consciousness ; there is no increase or decrease in me.

8. How wonderful that in me, the infinite ocean of Consciousness, waves of jivas (individual souls) rise, sport for a while and disappear according to their nature.

9. The world which has come into existence on account of my ignorance has dissolved likewise in me. I now directly experience the world as supreme bliss of Consciousness.

10. I prostrate to myself who am within all being, the ever free Self abiding as inner consciousness.

Magelang/Yogyakarta/Central Java/Indonesia (Borobudur is a 9th-century Mahayana Buddhist temple and the world's largest Buddhist temple. The temple consists of nine stacked platforms, six square and three circular, topped by a central dome. It is decorated with 2,672 relief panels and 504 Buddha statues. The central dome is surrounded by 72 Buddha statues, each seated inside a perforated stupa.

Built in the 9th century during the reign of the Sailendra Dynasty, the temple design follows Javanese Buddhist architecture, which blends the Indonesian indigenous cult of ancestor worship and the Buddhist concept of attaining Nirvana. The temple demonstrates the influences of Gupta art that reflects India's influence on the region, yet there are enough indigenous scenes and elements incorporated to make Borobudur uniquely Indonesian.

The monument is a shrine to the Lord Buddha and a place for Buddhist pilgrimage. The pilgrim journey begins at the base of the monument and follows a path around the monument, ascending to the top through three levels symbolic of Buddhist cosmology: Kāmadhātu (the world of desire), Rupadhatu (the world of forms) and Arupadhatu (the world of formlessness). The monument guides pilgrims through an extensive system of stairways and corridors with 1,460 narrative relief panels on the walls and the balustrades. Borobudur has the largest and most complete ensemble of Buddhist reliefs in the world.

Borobudur was constructed in the 9th century and abandoned following the 14th-century decline of Hindu kingdoms in Java and the Javanese conversion to Islam...)

Museum Beelden aan Zee in The Hague presents an exhibition that brings the work of British visual artist Ryan Gander (1976) and French painter and sculptor Edgar Degas (1834 - 1917) into dialogue. Since 2008, Gander has been working on a conceptual series in which he reinterprets Degas' world-famous sculpture Petite Danseuse de Quatorze Ans (1880-1881) and places it in a contemporary context. With his sculptures, Gander frees Degas' fourteen-year-old dancer from her pedestal and places her in various scenarios. The exhibition at Museum Beelden aan Zee showcases Gander's series of 22 ballerinas for the first time, and moreover, in direct connection with Degas' famous sculpture.

B is you...

Those three young Tibetan monks were climbing the staircase leading to the Mahabodhi Temple, the place of Gautama Buddha's attainment of nirvana (Enlightenment), in Bodh Gaya (बोधगया), in the Indian state of Bihar.

I could feel a state of happiness everywhere, it was a perfect day...

In every culture numbers have a meaning, I was wondering what would number Three means in Buddhism and I saw those words from Rev. Jnana, a Zen Dharma Teacher, as he was evocating the role of numbers in communicating the dharma in a teaching titled “BUDDHISM IN THE NUMBERS”.

“The number Three invokes the “Three Refuges” in the Buddha, the Dharma and the Sangha, known as the Triple Gem or the Triratna.

Three is the triloka or the “Three Worlds” or the “Three Realms” of existence which are the Desire Realm, the Form Realm and the Formless Realm.

All Buddhas manifest themselves in “Three Bodies” or the Trikaya: the Truth Body, the Body of Bliss and the Emanation Body.

There are “Three Roots of Evil”, namely greed, hatred and delusion.

All negative states of consciousness are ultimately grounded in one or more of these.

The “Three Characteristics of Existence” are suffering (dukkha), impermanence (anitya) and no permanent self (anatman).

Most of the above teachings are found within the “Three Baskets”, or the Tripitaka, of the traditional Buddhist canon.

Not to ignore Zen, there are the “Three Pillars of Zen”: the constituent elements of teaching, practice and enlightenment.”

In reality only the Ultimate is. The rest is a matter of name and form. And as long as you cling to the idea that only what has name and shape exists, the Supreme will appear to you non-existing. When you understand that names and shapes are hollow shells without any content whatsoever, and what is real is nameless and formless, pure energy of life and light of consciousness, you will be at peace -- immersed in the deep silence of reality.

The world and the mind are states of being. The supreme is not a state. It pervades all states, but it is not a state of something else. It is entirely uncaused, independent, complete in itself, beyond time and space, mind and matter.

It leaves no traces. There is nothing to recognise it by. It must be seen directly, by giving up all search for signs and approaches. When all names and forms have been given up, the real is with you. You need not seek it. Plurality and diversity are the play of the mind only. Reality is one.

Prambanan is the largest and most beautiful Hindu temple complex in Indonesia. It is the masterpiece of Hindu culture of the ninth century. Prambanan is a collection of massive Hindu temples (candi) built by the Mataram Kingdom, rulers of central Java and conquerors of the Sailendra Dynasty.

A temple was first built at the site around 850 CE by Rakai Pikatan and expanded extensively by King Lokapala and Balitung Maha Sambu the Sanjaya king of the Mataram Kingdom. It is dedicated to the Trimurti (Trinity of the formless supreme God), the expression of God as the Creator (Brahma), the Preserver (Vishnu) and the Destroyer (Shiva).

The complex is laid out in the form of a mandala, and features the towering, broad spires that are typical of Hindu temple architecture, and represent Meru, the holy mountain where the gods live. Originally there were 240 temples in the complex but many of them have deteriorated or been looted leaving just scattered stones. The Prambanan temple complex consists of three zones; first the outer zone, second the middle zone that contains hundreds of small temples, and third the holiest inner zone that contains eight main temples and likewise, eight small shrines. The three main inner shrines are dedicated to Brahma the Creator, Vishnu the Keeper and Shiva the Destroyer.

I had a few fails were I misjudged the distance and the photos were out of focus and I'm still trying to get used to the framing for the in-between focal distances. Overall, I'm very impressed with the camera and the sharpness of the lens. All of the diptyches were unintentional, which made them more delightful.

Durga, in Sanskrit means "She who is incomprehensible or difficult to reach." Goddess Durga is a form of Sakti worshiped for her gracious as well as terrifying aspect. Mother of the Universe, she represents the infinite power of the universe and is a symbol of a female dynamism. The manifestation of Goddess Durga is said to emerge from Her formless essence and the two are inseparable.

The celebrations of Durga puja have references in Indian literature from the 12th century. Earlier the festival was performed only by the rich and powerful people like kings and feudal lords, but today the entire community celebrates Durga Puja.

Celebrated in month of Ashwin of the Hindu calendar (September / October), Goddess Durga (also referred to as "Maa Durga") is worshipped along with her four children - Kartik (The Protector), Ganesh (who symolizes prosperity), Lakshmi (who symbolizes wealth) and Saraswati (who symbolizes knowledge). Her four children complete the manifestation of Goddess Durga.

On the last day of the ten days of the puja, Goddess Durga who represents ‘shakti’ or power, kills the demon Mahishasura and thereby reinstates the triumph of good over evil.

The tenth day, Vijaya Dasami, marks the triumphant ovation of the soul at having attained liberation while living in this world, through the descent of knowledge by the Grace of Goddess Saraswati. The soul rests in his own Supreme Self or Satchidananda Brahman. This day celebrates the victory, the achievement of the goal. The banner of victory flies aloft. Lo! I am He! I am He!

It is on this day, the last and the tenth day, this picture was taken during / after the traditional ritual to bid a goodbye.

Borobudur is a 9th-century Mahayana Buddhist temple and the world's largest Buddhist one. It consists of nine vertically juxtaposed platforms topped by a central dome. The temple is decorated with 2,672 relief panels and 504 Buddha statues. The central dome is surrounded by 72 Buddha statues, each seated inside a perforated stupa.

It was designed in Javanese Buddhist architectural style, which blends the Javanese indigenous cult of ancestor worship and the Buddhist concept of attaining Nirvana. The temple shows the influences of Indian Gupta style.

It guides the visitors through an extensive system of stairways and corridors with many narrative relief panels on the walls

and the balustrades. Borobudur has the largest and most complete ensemble of Buddhist reliefs in the world.

Borobudur is still used for pilgrimage; once a year, Buddhists in Indonesia celebrate Vesak at the monument. The journey for pilgrims begins at the base of the monument and follows a path around the monument and ascends to the top through three levels symbolic of Buddhist cosmology Kamadhatu (the world of desire), Rupadhatu (the world of forms) and Arupadhatu (the world of formlessness).

More about its history: After its construction in the 9th century it was abandoned following the 14th-century decline of Hindu kingdoms in Java and the Javanese conversion to Islam. It was ‘rediscovered’ in 1814 and since then preserved through several restorations. The largest restoration project was undertaken between 1975 and 1982 by the Indonesian government and UNESCO following which the monument was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Circle

The circle is a universal symbol with extensive meaning. It represents the notions of totality, wholeness, original perfection, the Self, the infinite, eternity, timelessness, all cyclic movement, God ('God is a circle whose centre is everywhere and whose circumference is nowhere' (Hermes Trismegistus)). As the sun, it is masculine power; as the soul and as encircling waters, it is the feminine maternal principle. "It implies an idea of movement, and symbolizes the cycle of time, the per petual motion of everything that moves, the planets' journey around the sun (the circle of the zodiac), the great rhythm of the universe. The circle is also zero in our system of numbering, and symbolizes potential, or the embryo. It has a magical value as a protective agent, ... and indicates the end of the process of individuation, of striving towards a psychic wholeness and self-realization" (Julien, 71).

With the number ten, symbolizes heaven and perfection as well as eternity. In Jung, the antithesis of the square (lowest state of man who has not achieved inner perfection), standing for the ultimate state of Oneness, with octagon in between. Circle of Necessity: birth, growth, decline, death. Defense against chaos, formlessness. Related to Yin and Yang.

The circle symbolizes T'ai Chi which is formless and above duality.

Here it is manifesting itself as the progenitor of the universe.

It is divided into yin (the dark) and yang (the light) which signify

the negative and positive poles.

Pairs of opposites, passive and active, female and male,

moon and sun.

Almighty God Uses His Word to Save Man - "The Main Purpose of God's work in the Flesh" (Music Video)

www.holyspiritspeaks.org/videos/the-main-purpose-of-gods-...

1. God comes into flesh for the main purpose to make man see God’s practical deeds. He realizes the formless Spirit in the flesh so that man can touch and see Him. In this way, people made complete by Him can be those who live out Him. They are ones who are gained by Him, and ones who are after His heart.

2. If God only spoke utterances from the heavens and didn’t practically come to earth, man would never know God. They would just convey God’s deeds with hollow theories, but would never have God’s words as reality. God comes to earth to set an example and serve as a model for those He will gain. In this way, man can come to know God, touch God, and see God in a practical way. And only in this way can he truly be gained by God. God comes to earth to set an example and serve as a model for those He will gain. In this way, man can come to know God, touch God, and see God in a practical way. And only in this way can he truly be gained by God. And only in this way can he truly be gained by God.

This is the time we feel empty in our mind; a sudden heavyness in our heart, strike us. We have to wait one more year for our Mother to be present amongst us again for another five days. This is endless wait !

Durga, in Sanskrit means - She who is incomprehensible or difficult to reach. Goddess Durga is a form of Sakti worshiped for her gracious as well as terrifying aspect.

Lo! I am He! I am He!

It is on this day, the last and the tenth day, this picture was taken in Chennai during / after the traditional ritual to bid a goodbye.

"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning — the first day."

The Bible, 1. Mose 1, -5

*********************************************************

Buch Mose 1-5

Borobudur, or Barabudur, is a 9th-centuryMahayana Buddhist Temple in Magelang,Central Java, Indonesia. The monument consists of six square platforms topped by three circular platforms and is decorated with 2,672 relief panels and 504 Buddha statues.[1]A main dome, located at the center of the top platform, is surrounded by 72 Buddha statues each of which is seated inside a perforatedstupa. It is the world’s largest Buddhist temple,[2][3] as well as one of the greatest Buddhist monuments in the world.[4]

Built in the 9th century during the reign of theSailendra Dynasty, the temple was designed in Javanese Buddhist architecture, which blends the Indonesian indigenous cult ofancestor worship and the Buddhist concept of attaining Nirvana.[4] The temple also demonstrates the influences of Gupta art that reflects India's influence on the region, yet there are enough indigenous scenes and elements incorporated to make Borobudur uniquely Indonesian.[5][6] The monument is both a shrine to the Lord Buddha and a place for Buddhist pilgrimage. The journey for pilgrims begins at the base of the monument and follows a path around the monument and ascends to the top through three levels symbolic of Buddhist cosmology: Kāmadhātu(the world of desire), Rupadhatu (the world of forms) and Arupadhatu (the world of formlessness). The monument guides pilgrims through an extensive system of stairways and corridors with 1,460 narrative relief panels on the walls and the balustrades. Borobudur has the largest and most complete ensemble of Buddhist reliefs in the world.[4]

Evidence suggests Borobudur was constructed in the 9th century and abandoned following the 14th-century decline of Hindu kingdoms in Java and the Javaneseconversion to Islam.[7] Worldwide knowledge of its existence was sparked in 1814 by Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles, then the British ruler of Java, who was advised of its location by native Indonesians. Borobudur has since been preserved through several restorations. The largest restoration project was undertaken between 1975 and 1982 by theIndonesian government and UNESCO, following which the monument was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.[4]

Borobudur is still used for pilgrimage; once a year, Buddhists in Indonesia celebrate Vesakat the monument, and Borobudur is Indonesia's single most visited tourist attraction.[8][9][10]

Something formless and dreadful rises from the depths...

"Be extremely subtle, even to the point of formlessness. Be extremely mysterious, even to the point of soundlessness. Thereby you can be the director of the opponent's fate."
