I am testing my new large format camera with paper negatives.

f22 and 17 sec exposure.

North Cornish coast. A stunning location and I had wanted to do some sparse black and white sea images for some time, so it was great to make that a reality, especially in such a beautiful location. This one belies the power and violence of that coast on even a moderately breezy day at full tide. I nearly fell in at one point whilst climbing on one of the bigger rocks to get a look at a possible shot. Heart in the mouth moment. Just for a split second I thought I was going in, with all my gear...
Taken last winter here in Austin. Alice is one of my oldest friends, we've known each other since first grade. I think she's beautiful.
We grew it outside.
A clue for those of you of a certain age, you may remember a tv advert that had this line in it. 'I knows it 'cause I grows it'. 😀.

May was exceptionally dry, causing the rye (think it is) to look like its time to harvest.

After Pont-Ste-Maxence, I headed south to the Dijon region. Because I was suffering from quite a heavy (but non-Covid) cold, however, I just went straight to the hotel and did not make use of the evening anymore. The next morning, I drove to the four-track section of the ligne impériale between Les Laumes and Blaisy-Bas. The sun had not quite dispensed with the hilltop shadows as the only freight train passed by. It is headed by BB 27089, with the grey BB 26092 running idle ("en véhicule") in second position. According to Julian (thanks!), the destination is probably Gevrey; it would then have originated at Le Bourget-Triage near Paris. Villotte-St-Seine, 07-09-2021.
Medium format film, on-camera diffusion filter, no post-filtering. Kodak Tri-X shot at 1200, semi-stand Rodinal.
