I did get a fairly decent photo the other day of some Forget-me-nots, I didn't think I'd managed.

When and if the sun comes out again, I'll try and get some better photos.

Maybe view large, and thank you for your favourites. :)

If he forgets, I shall roast him.

Forget-me-nots are any one of a number of species of flowering plants in the genus Myosotis. Its common name was calqued from German, Vergissmeinnicht and first used in English in AD 1398 through King Henry IV.. Similar names and variations are found in many languages.

Forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair.

Forget-me-not or Scorpion Grass

Myosotis is a genus of flowering plants in the family Boraginaceae. The name comes from the Ancient Greek μυοσωτίς "mouse's ear", which the foliage is thought to resemble. In the northern hemisphere they are colloquially denominated forget-me-nots or scorpion grasses.

I confess. I posted this image in color previously... But I was thinking of treating another image in B&W. That was a bust, however I found this one and thought it had good contrast - even if it's pegged on both sides.

This is in Antelope Canyon - a place everyone should visit once - maybe even without a camera. It is an extraordinary place (even if a little crowded).

Happy shooting!

Forget me nots, my garden HSS

Appropriate floral arrival to commemorate the first celebration of the day without my own Mom and my first real attempt to incorporate text into an image. Both learning experiences.

Best wishes and pleasing thoughts to all Mothers and their celebrants.

I'm in a flower mood, especially now that March has finally arrived. Here are some dainty Forget-Me-Nots that I captured last May.

Enjoy...

The first of the season and I was rather surprised to see them. But it was a good surprise.

Better viewed large and thank you for your favourites.

A manipulation. The statue and forget-me-nots flowers came from publicdomainpictures.net

#84 In remembrance: 123 pictures in 2023

.......I'm going to be off Flickr for a wee while friends. Thank you very much for all the kindness, loyalty and time you give me. I hope you will still be there when I return. I thought this was an appropriate image to leave with.

The Eternal Flame at Melbourne's Shrine of Remembrance.

We pause to remember, on this day, the 25th of April all those who gave the Supreme Sacrifice in war through the years and to thank those who returned from the many and various theatres of war through the years.

As the Eternal Flame burns forever, so we must never forget.

Blowing a gale but you have to have a go when you unexpectedly come across some with a nice bit of lighting

I forget to pay attention to the iso, glad the photo is usesable and shows not a lot of grain.
