The plan was to photograph the Fellsman excursion crossing the Weaver Navigation Railway Bridge with the steam tug Daniel Adamson in the foreground. Just as 46100 Royal Scot approached a narrow boat, Forget Me Not, passed under the Sutton Weaver Swing Bridge and came into shot.

The blogger of Trendy and Coffee made a tutorial for some basic things you can do in photoshop. I love her pics so I had to try some of the things out, I'm really happy with the results, and I will probably be using some of these tricks regularly!

Myosotis (pronounced /ˌmaɪ.əˈsoʊtɪs/;[1] from the Greek: "mouse's ear", after the leaf) is a genus of flowering plants in the family Boraginaceae that are commonly called Forget-me-nots.

There are approximately fifty species in the genus, with much variation. Most have small (1 cm diameter or less) flat, 5-lobed blue, pink or white flowers with yellow centers, growing on scorpioid cymes. They bloom in spring. Leaves are alternate. Popular in gardens, Forget-me-nots prefer moist habitats and where they are not native, they have escaped to wetlands and riverbanks. They can tolerate partial sun and shade. ....from Wikipedia

A little forget-me-not with texture

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning

We will remember them.

Forget me not square

one I did for this week's Macro Mondays but didn't post because there were already several forget-me-nots posted before I got there. The orange is the side of a skip on a building site.

A shaft of light punches its way into a room at the abandoned resort. There was heavy cloud cover and light rain outside, which gives some indication how dim it was in here.

Normally I'd never put my gear down on a surface while exploring, but these beds seemed clean enough. I realized some time later that I’d left a lens behind. Fortunately I was still on-site and had time to go back and get it.

This Limoges porcelain button dates back to the late 1800s. It seems that vintage buttons may be developing into yet another collection. Well, at least the daisy didn't cost me anything. :)

Have a good summer :)

I'll be away for a while.

I think these are the field forget me not variety. The hairy one.
