This is a double exposure of the same scene - one taken late winter/early spring with the magnolia buds still unopened, and the other captured after the buds opened, about 2-3 weeks apart. In a couple of weeks the cup shaped tree trunk will probably not be visible anymore.
My Grandson was blowing bubbles in the garden and I tried to get some photos of them . Harder than I thought but it made us all laugh.

This unusual creation at the front of 'The Gherkin' was created by Chinese artist and political dissident Ai Weiwei from hundreds of steel bicycle frames of a brand once extremely popular across China. The Shanghai bicycle company known as 'Forever' was founded in 1940 and produced cheap mass-market bicycles for the Chinese workers. Apparently they are now steadily dying out in China and being replaced by cars.

Those were the last words he said to her as he got into his car and drove off. It wasn't like him to be late getting home and he had promised to go taste testing at the wedding venue with her later that night. The knock on the door that evening startled and confused her. He had keys; why is he knocking? Did he forget them? "Drunk driver," the police officer said. "Something something ran a red light. " she thought she heard him say. She couldn't make out the rest over the sound of her screaming.
On what would have been their wedding day, she dressed up as she would have, did her hair and makeup, and went out to the park where he proposed to her. The silence was deafening. The fireflies circled around her as if trying to comfort her.. Then she heard his voice in her ear. "I will always be with you. Forever."

Day 12 of 20 of albums that influenced my musical tastes.
Definitely Maybe is the debut studio album by the English band Oasis, released on 29 August 1994.
This was the case of love at first hearing. I don't find any flaws in this brilliant debut. Live forever is one of those songs that will have a special place in my heart and maybe in the history of contemporary music. It can talk of brothers, friends and lovers bond and love.
Definitely Maybe was an immediate commercial and critical success in the United Kingdom, having followed on the heels of the singles "Supersonic", "Shakermaker", and the UK top-ten hit "Live Forever", which was also a success on US Rock Airplay. The album went on to sell over 8.5 million copies worldwide and brought widespread critical acclaim. It went straight to number one in the UK Albums Chart and became the fastest-selling debut album in the UK at the time. (from Wikipedia)

Great Egret in breeding plumage, Alligator Breeding Marsh and Wading Bird Rookery, Gatorland, Orlando, Florida. The beautiful breeding plumage on this Great Egret reminded me of the iconic "white dress" photo of Marilyn Monroe. On September 15, 1955, Marilyn stood above a New York City subway grate wearing a white dress while filming The Seven-Year Itch. As a train passed underground, her dress blew upwards, with Marilyn flirtatiously trying to keep it down. While the moment only lasted a couple of seconds on film, it became one of the most iconic scenes in movie history—and that little white number is now one the most famous dresses of all time. "Forever Marilyn" is a giant statue of Marilyn Monroe designed by Seward Johnson. The statue is a representation of one of the most famous images of Monroe.

Fuji X-Pro1. When seeing a forgotten corner such as this one, a paradox opens up. Yes, they are long dead and, very likely, nobody is around to remember them. On the other hand, they did live and walk the earth in their time. If we time-travelled backwards, we would meet them in their worlds. I am not referring here to the continued existence of the atoms and molecules we are made of. That recycling process is a fact. I am rather pointing to another fact, namely that the dead were once alive, and that this will remain a fact for the rest of time and for what is left of eternity. Nobody can take this away, even if the living may forget. The dead, just like the living, are not just part of the physical transmission process of the cosmos, they are also part of the history of consciousness of this universe. Forever.
