This location opened in fall 2008 and closed in April 2025; it occupies what was originally three different tenants:

The left part of the store within the mall was originally a Spencer Gifts, which opened on June 9th, 1982 and relocated here in the mid 2000s.

The right part of the store within the mall was originally an American Eagle Outfitters, which opened in the early 1980s and relocated here in the mid 2000s.

The back exterior-facing stretch of the store was originally the majority of Lynnhaven United Artists Cinemas 6, which opened on January 28th, 1983 and closed in 1998. It became a DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse in the late 1990s, which relocated here in 2002, then became the majority of a Freedom Electronics (previously confined to this space), which closed in the mid 2000s.

The store operated as a Spirit Halloween from August 19th, 2025 to November 3rd, 2025.

Apparently the "I got dressed completely in the dark" look is all the rage now, with some crappy 80s stuff thrown in for good measure.

Hilarious. You couldn't pay me to dress even remotely like this.

I bought this ring from Forever21's accessory store last week. It turns my finger blue, but it's still beyond amazing.

Forever 21

Opened November 18th, 2022

The last stop of the day was at the Norfolk Forever 21, which is located in Norfolk Premium Outlets. This was actually my first time ever visiting the outlets, and while I have considered documenting the complex at some point, I've just never taken the time to do so, probably because the area surrounding it is so congested with traffic. It also led me to believe that this would be an outlet store like the Williamsburg location was (R.I.P., I guess), but it turns out that it's a regular Forever 21, though decidedly smaller than the Lynnhaven Mall store I'd just visited. It was a whole lot less busy, too, and while Lynnhaven didn't have any signage indicating when their last day would be, Norfolk had it posted in two locations that they had ten business days left, so by next Saturday they'll be gone. But you sure wouldn't think they were in their final days by looking at the salesfloor, because even at 40% off this store was as fully stocked as I'd imagine it'd ever be, with no areas that looked like they'd been picked over. Like Lynnhaven the store is dominated by women's apparel, with menswear shoved aside to the left and with two dressing rooms that have curtains instead of doors, which is always an odd choice (I remember the Old Navy in Patrick Henry Mall having the same thing and I thought it was odd back then as well). The flooring consists of large tan rectangular tiles, while the warehouse-style ceiling features spotlighting and tube lighting, and an actual fitting room area is in the back right next to the register area. There's not much to take away from here, but it'll most likely be my final time visiting a Forever 21 since the company declared Chapter 11 on Monday and will shutter all remaining stores, not that they would've had any left in Hampton Roads anyways since their three locations were already going out of business. Maybe I'll consider checking out some of the NOVA stores if I'm up that way this spring, but I'm not making any special trips to specially go to them.
