This old stager continued to be sold at Tesco right to the very end having suffered from some more obvious cost cutting to external detailing with all its black applique disappearing and its front headlights being simplified. Still a licensed casting though meaning this 90's Ford Explorer remains realistic with a FORD badge proudly displayed on the front grille. Part of a five vehicle set bought from Tesco back in February 2017. Mint and boxed.
Cost cutting seems to have affected quite a few of the latest batches of Realtoy diecast vehicles. This Ford Explorer Fire vehicle sees the deletion of its black coloured lower bumper and orange coloured headlamps. Not the end of the world of course and i'm sure most kids wouldn't even notice. Just geeky collectors like myself! LOL
Still very nicely detailed right down to its ford oval badge.

Chunkily styled Ford Explorer based diecast made in China by good old Summer. I initially ordered 24 different castings from a supplier directly in China but ended up with quite a few of these! ;-( Its not actually a bad little diecast which appears to be a copy of the original Maisto Ford Explorer and is only really let down by this ridiculous sounding and misspelt "highs peed" livery. Mint and boxed.

Looking like its probably a cheap copy of the Maisto equivalent is another one of these Summer produced Ford Explorer Fire Dept vehicle. Quality is reasonable though the poor grasp of English in the Highs Peed livery still raises a few sniggers. Bought as a job lot directly from China. Mint and boxed.

A very British looking Police livery on a very American vehicle! The Ford Explorer was indeed sold here in the U.K. for a short while though were any used as a Police vehicle? This is a typical high quality Realtoy model right down to the detailed blue oval badge on the front grille. Part of a 14 vehicle set bought from ASDA a few years back now. Mint and boxed.
Hilariously crude, and obviously unlicensed, representation of an early Ford Explorer. Made by Feisu they have been churning out this casting for many years with quality not getting any better! ;-p

When buying a job lot of diecasts from China recently I got quite a few of these Ford Explorer models, more than I was hoping for to be honest but that can be one of the risks of buying stuff from over there! Its made by Summer though their name doesn't appear on either model or packaging and is a pretty decent copy of the original Maisto casting. Its quality is acceptable for a cheapo diecast though its Highs Peed livery leaves a lot to be desired! LOL. Mint and boxed.
