Stopped by the Marion County Sheriff's Office in Ocala, Florida. I was amazed to see two cars with an interesting message. A domestic violence Awareness car trimmed in purple, and a pink trimmed, breast cancer awareness vehicle.

Today I traded my faithful 2008 Ford Explorer "Camel" for a newer vehicle. It's sad to say good-bye to a faithful vehicle after all the trips these past 13 years! 136,857 miles, including Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Virginia, West Virginia, and of course Indiana. I named this vehicle "Camel" as that was the name of the color of the interior. Yet it also hauled a lot of things over time, so it rightfully will be remembered by that name. And yes, cars take on a personality that 'sticks' with you, and even as I type this, a tear of sadness and gratitude flow from my eyes. Thanks, Camel--for all your faithful and safe miles these past 13 years!
