On Detail By The World Trade Center

Its easy to forget that Ford did indeed officially sell the all American Explorer SUV here back in the late 90's. It was hardly a success and examples are few and far between now but I do wonder whether any were actually used by British Police Forces. Realtoy seemed to think so judging by this Battenberg Police version of their Ford Explorer which was a common sight in many retailers up until a few years ago.

This is an earlier version which you can easily spot by all the extra care and attention lavished on its detailing with separately painted black bumpers, window surrounds and lights. Later versions lacked most of the above!
