Seit Anfang 2024 stehen zehn Loks der Baureihe 188 für die CFL Cargo im Einsatz. Die Maschinen aus dem Hause Bombardier wurden gefällig in verschiedenen Farbgebungen und mit Motiven aus dem Tierreich gestaltet. Die 188 061 trägt das Konterfei einer Eule auf den Seitenwänden. Man verweist seitens CFL darauf, dass man sich wie der Greifvogel tagsüber leise bewegt und in der Nacht im Verborgenen seine Arbeit verrichtet. Am 01. September 2024 konnte ich die besagte Lok vor dem KLV-Zug DGS 49674 von Poznan Swarzędz nach Bettembourg-Marchandises bei Hermannspiegel im osthessischen Haunetal fotografieren.
Ten class 188 locomotives have been in service for CFL Cargo since the beginning of 2024. The machines from Bombardier have been attractively designed in various colours and with motifs from the animal kingdom. The 188 061 bears the portrait of an owl on the side walls. CFL points out that, like the bird of prey, it moves quietly during the day and does its work in secret at night. On 1 September 2024, I was able to photograph the locomotive in question in front of the intermodal train DGS 49674 from Poznan Swarzędz to Bettembourg-Marchandises near Hermannspiegel in eastern Hesse.
