Adam's mile is a public footpath and safe cycling route along a disused railway line between Lubenham and Market Harborough, created by the parents of Adam Mugridge who was tragically killed in a road accident as he cycled to school at the age of 13.

These painted pebbles were seen at various points during a walk Shirley and I took last year around West Burton in the Dales.

 

The painted content of Yogi Bear and Boo Boo on the left and Freddie Flintstone on the right was right up my street as I grew up with these TV cartoons.

Loved the contrasting colours in this footpath through Saltram grounds in Devon.

A memorable sunset from last Spring’s Bluebonnet bloom down here in the Texas Hill Country. I am (im)patiently waiting for scenes like this to be the norm again... 💙

A footpath tracking through Thieves Wood, Nottinghamshire

On the way to a morning shoot on the River Thames at Days Lock I was struck by the way the footpath led into the mist and the rising sun.

First chance I've had this week to take an image for this weeks theme. A quick walk for an hour this cold and frosty morning, keeping it local to home and it was freezing out there.
