- The vuvuzela, also known as lepatata Mambu (its Tswana name) is a plastic horn, about 65 centimetres (2 ft) long, which produces a loud monotone note, typically around B♭ 3 (the B♭ below middle C). Many types of vuvuzela, made by several manufacturers, may produce various intensity and frequency outputs. The intensity of these outputs depends on the blowing technique and pressure exerted.
The vuvuzela is most used at football matches in South Africa, and it has become a symbol of South African football as the stadiums are filled with its sound.
The vuvuzelas made a comeback at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, and have been used mainly by Iranian supporters. Much like in 2010, there has been a backlash against the use of vuvuzelas.
In art music several compositions were made for the vuvuzela. One is a baroque-style double concerto in C major for vuvuzela, organ (or harpsichord) and string orchestra, written by Timo Kiiskinen, Professor of Church Music in Sibelius Academy, Helsinki.

We are so happy! 2:7. The last game of the season and they got the title: my daughters soccer team. They are the youngest team of the women's league in our county ever! In this season they shot 57 goals and received only 15 ;-) / Soccer ball in our garden in front of a training net – a kind of fence – for catching the ball ... I hope you let this picture go as a fence ... HFF to everyone!
Wir freuen uns so! 2:7. Das letzte Spiel der Saison und sie haben den Titel: die Fußballmannschaft meiner Tochter. Sie sind die jüngste Damen-Mannschaft, die es bisher in unserem Kreis gab! In dieser Saison haben sie 57 Tore geschossen und nur 15 einkassiert ;-) / Fußball in unserem Garten vor einem Trainingnetz – eine Art Zaun – um den Ball abzufangen und zurückzuspielen ... Ich hoffe, ihr lasst dieses Bild als Zaunbild durchgehen ... HFF an alle!

We went to see my niece, Lina, play her last high school soccer game tonight- she is a BEAST on the field! She and her team mates had a really good game. It wall all hard fought; they lost in the end, but they are such exceptional young women! We are so proud of Lina and her team!
I shot 348 photos while Ken took 60! I may have a few more to post later! LOL!
Frankly speaking I'm not a football fan at all ;) All I could find for this weekend's theme are these three little buddies from my daughter's toy box :))

Tonight, the German Football Team, which is the Defending World Champion, needs support to avoid a premature Flight back home. The only thing they need are Goals which do not seem to be as easy as they think. Sweden is a strong and powerful rival.
