"Stay hungry. Stay foolish. Never let go of your appetite to go after new ideas, new experiences, and new adventures."
Quote - Steve Jobs
I see a blue fish who almost has caught something ……. ;-)) And you…... what do you see?
Have a nice week ahead !
From my house-renovation archive.
I came in from the outside, burned out from a joy ride
She likes to roll here in my ashes anyway
Played from the bedside is "Stella By Starlight"
"That Was My Heart," the drums that start off "Night And Day"
The same kind of music haunts her bedroom
I'm almost me again, she's almost you
I wouldn't know where to start
"Sweet Music" playing "In The Dark"
Be still, "My Foolish Heart"
Don't ruin this on me
I wouldn't know where to start
"Sweet Music" playing "In The Dark"
Be still, "My Foolish Heart"
Don't ruin this on me
There's a war inside my head
And I'm drowning in regret
When the lights come down
Got an empty crown
My body's missing pieces
Can't pull it all together
My body's missing pieces
I wish I could remember
My body's missing pieces
Can't pull it all together
My body's missing pieces
I wish I could remember

The last time I'd visited Diamond Beach near the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon in 2019 I came away feeling particularly despondent after failing to make the most of my visit. The weather conditions hadn't been favourable with heavy rain falling so I had retreated to the warmth of the campervan. It was only when I'd returned home that I realised how foolish I had been not making the most of that visit.
This time around I was determined not to make the same mistake!
Once you get onto the black sand and witness these large chunks of ice washing up along the shoreline you realise it's a magical place. The conditions were flat with drizzle in the air but thankfully light pockets of light were creeping through the clouds.
If you're lucky enough to catch the light the ice shines and diamond beach comes alive.

"We didn’t need words sometimes. They would get in the way by over explaining and still unable to understand all the sentences that laid splayed out in front of us like a scrabble game with no vowels. Let’s sit in the quiet for awhile and just… Hold each other… Let this pass … We can find the words when they find us …. "

The night is like a lovely tune
Beware my foolish heart
How white the ever constant moon
Take care my foolish heart
There's a line between love and fascination
That's hard to see, how many names such as this
For they both have the very same sensation
When you're locked in the magic of a kiss
Her lips are much too close to mine
Beware my foolish heart
But should our eager lips combine
Then let the fire start
For this time it isn't fascination
Or a dream that will fade and fall apart
It's love, this time it's love
My foolish heart
42:52, photograph something you've never shot before, in a style you've never used, so it's not recognizable as yours
Strapped for time I processed this older image in a style I've never tried before. I hope it makes you nervous.
Gannets are seabirds comprising the genus Morus, in the family Sulidae, closely related to boobies. "Gannet" is derived from Old English ganot, ultimately from the same Old Germanic root as "gander".[1] Morus is derived from Ancient Greek moros, "foolish", due to the lack of fear shown by breeding gannets and boobies, allowing them to be easily killed
40009 and 40033 pass the signal box at Blea Moor with 1Z68, the Hertfordshire Railtours 'The Leuchars Aide'.
Running as 1Z68, the 0700 from Euston to Dundee, the Leuchars Aide was a marathon weekend tour. 86220 had provided traction to Wigan and the forties were taking the tour to Carlisle.
After Carlisle, the tour took a run up the Glasgow and South Western, then via Ayr to Glasgow. 47410 would later take over to run up to Dundee, passing through the aforementioned 'Leuchars'.

All was still at Rapjohn Lake, I don't recall hearing a sound. There was no one there to see me, but I probably looked pretty foolish tiptoeing around trying not to break the enchantment. :-) Happy Sunday folks, and thanks for stopping by.
I was running down the road
The fear was all I knew
I was looking for a soul that’s real
Then I ran into you
And that cherry blossom tree
Was a gateway to the sun
And friendship, once it’s won
It’s won, it’s one
Northside
Just across the river to the Southside
That’s a long way here
All the green and all the gold
The hurt you hide
The joy that you hold
The foolish pride
That gets you out the door
Up on Cedarwood
Cedarwood Road
Sleepwalking down the road
Not waking from these dreams
‘Cause it’s never dead
It’s still my head
It was a warzone in my teens
I’m still standing on that street
Still need an enemy
The worst ones I can’t see
You can, you can
Northside
Just across the river from the Southside
That’s a long way here
All the green and all the gold
The hurt you hide
And the joy that you hold
The foolish pride
That sends you back for more
Up on Cedarwood
Cedarwood Road
If the door is open it isn’t theft
You can’t return to where you’ve never left
Blossoms falling from a tree
They cover you and cover me
Symbols clashing, bibles smashing
Paint the world you need to see
Sometimes fear is the only place
That we can call our home
Cedarwood Road
And a heart that is broken
Is a heart that is open
Open, open

Is summer's festival only for fresh blossoms and not also for withered leaves and faded flowers?
Is the song of the sea in tune only with the rising waves?
Does it not also sing with the waves that fall?
Few are the wise and the great who sit by my Master, but he has taken the foolish in his arms...

Just back from a 15 day, 60 site Urbex marathon in Italy. With much appreciation, I'd like to give thanks to some wonderful people for helping make this trip a huge success...
Dr. Baab, lfieldhouse, ilConte, Parzival, FrogRos, Manouch, & GregoireC. Some people act very selfishly in this UE circle, while others share, build partnerships, and offer support to fellow explorers. These are the people who I enjoy sending my time with, for they understand the value of kindness. Cheers to all of you!!!
“The real power of the Buddha was that he had so much love. He saw people trapped in their notions of small separate self, feeling guilty or proud of that self, and he offered revolutionary teachings that resounded like a lion's roar, like a great rising tide, helping people to wake up and break free from the prison of ignorance.”

THE LION SLEEPS TONIGHT – Oh these guys are from a French cartoon that I loved to watch … Pat et Stanley!!! Enjoy! :-D
Deep in the forest the King silently smiles
far from his homeland; thousands of miles
yet still in this forest he is undoubtedly King
as wise as he's stronger than most every thing
I linger; I long for a meeting with him
proud and majestic through thick and thin
in the quiet of the forest; I click on a whim
he does not stir from where he lays; I am nothing to him
The silence is eerie then he purrs like a kitten
his fur is so fluffy like a warm Winter mitten
but beneath his soft façade lies the heart of a lion
the King of the jungle on whom all can rely on
There are many females surrounding him aware
that eyes are upon him and they start to stare
perhaps they are jealous or perhaps inwardly laugh
at this girl with her camera craning her neck like a giraffe
I stay awhile longer and was happy to see
that the King and his harem look contented to me
in front of me I spot that someone hangs out of their car window
do they not realise these cats can strike fast and cut them like Zorro
The moment passed quickly and I breathed a sigh of relief
that the King did not roar but yawned and bared sharp teeth
the foolishness of us humans is no surprise to him at all
he knows he could maim us; though he looks tame and could maul
Even a domestic cat could rip our faces to shreds
if we tease them or rile them or forget they're not fed
so the moral of this story is to be always kind
and the King will shrug his shoulders; go to sleep and not mind
After all we're the ones who pay handsomely
whereas the King and his subjects can see us for free
so who is the wisest; us humans or the lions
well the King knows the answer if we ignore all the signs
Up ahead the Safari jeeps are heading for home
so we bid the King goodbye and leave him to roam
and tonight I will dream of Tarzan and I will be Jane
as the Lion King of the Jungle will be at home ...
shampooing his mane! ; 0))))

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom ,it was the age of foolishness , it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair. – Charles Dickens - A tale of two cities
