Glowing Eels swimming up river to the spawning grounds at night on the Kasai River in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Extremely rare spotting of these elusive creatures.
Getting in a little playtime with an otherwise boring picture of ripples on the surface of a pond.
Hard boiled egg yolk alittle salt and pepper - poked a few dents for craters.
I can no longer tell my kids "Stop playing with your food"
Happy Macro Monday to All
*** Thank-You To Explore and all the wonderful new friends I am making ***
What gave it away? The ripples in the clouds and sky? Yes, this landscape is looking down into the reflective surface of Crater Lake.

If there were a fenceh around the Hellmouth? This would be that fenceh.
Smells like sulphur, yes? Yes!

'An apple a day keeps the doctor away' ......and now there's a handy way of taking them! These are my daughters Piriton tablets she has to take in hay fever season...I tweaked them a bit in Photoshop!
Taken for Macro Mondays' theme ~ Fool You. When pulling pranks on people, it is the customary saying that you pulled the wool over their eyes.
The origin of this saying seems to come from the style of the 16th and 17th centuries where both men and women wore woolen wigs. This way, the eyes of somebody could easily be hidden if the wig was slid over them and a person could say to another "I pulled the wool over your eyes," when tricking them.

My little lion. Multiple kids thought he was a real lion and then a parent [A PARENT] said "oh it's a lion, I thought it was a dog, WOW. It's a lion". Jeez Louis lady.

headlight is correct - can you guess the type of car?
I bet some of you drive one
Barbara (Monceau) correctly guessed the one below on the 19th attempt
it's a soccer ball in the yard that the dog has chewed open
To prove just how deceptive appearances can be, I've taken 'artistic licence' to the limits here - with composition, cropping, framing, timing, title and post processing - since I simply couldn't resist.
In reality, this very pretty (and very pleasant) young lady standing on Liverpool's Lime Street (outside the station) is perfectly respectable and had simply stopped to have a smoke after a long train journey.
Who said the camera can't lie?
** Incidentally, anyone unfamiliar with Liverpool's (in)famous Maggie May should follow the link below to learn a little more
can you guess what this is?
going the guess route instead of photo manipulation
Barbara (Monceau) guessed right - it's a soccer ball in the yard chewed open by the dog
After making this shot, I looked at it in the display and was impressed that somehow, it looked like a vulva. Go figure...

Now home to the RailsWest Railroad Museum.
I'd recommend seeing this one a little bigger too
Much ado about nothing?
Well of course! They're seagulls! they'd kill each other for a crumb.
But aside from that, on closer inspection, how do you get a drop shadow on all these birds?
Spend more time than it's worth is how!
BOO YAH!!!

You and I walk a fragile line
I have known it all this time
but I never thought I'd live to see it break
It's getting dark and it's all too quiet
And I can't trust anything now
And it's coming over you like it's all a big mistake
Oh, I'm holding my breath
Won't lose you again
something's made your eyes go cold
Come on, come on, don't leave me like this
I thought I had you figured out
Something's gone terribly wrong
You're all I wanted
Come on, come on, don't leave me like this
I thought I had you figured out
Can't breathe whenever you're gone
Can't turn back now, I'm haunted
In the same way that part of the best reason for buying a car can be the fun buttons and levers available to the driver, one of the best reasons for buying hot pepper plants can simply be the name.

I was looking for a particular photo in my box of APS shots, and decided to scan in a few others that I really liked for one reason or another.
