A few members of the Crappy Camera gang met up at the FestiFools parade in Ann Arbor, Crappy Cameras in tow. One thing that turned out well was bringing the Holga. Holgas are great at adding separation between the subject and the rest of the frame. I think most of these shots would be totally uninteresting with a different camera - the subject would get lost in all the other action going on.
On a side note, I think Mark O'Brien knows this guy. And I don't think that should surprise anyone who knows Mark personally.
Actually, not so foolish considering that hyperthermia was probably a bigger concern that blunt force trauma. This is precisely the sort of thing that seems like a bad idea on first witnessing it, but then when you see a whole host more people follow suit you realize that it has the blessing of local tradition.
Next time, I'll be first in line.
My wife and I took the Ferry boat to San Francisco to visit the Macy's Flower Show. It was not spectacular, but we had fun walking around SF anyway. Getting there on the Ferry is always a treat.
Shopping while unemployed is a perfect April Fools actifvity.

Johntae's chopper was so laid back it was difficult keeping the front wheel on the pavement.
An April Fools joke got a lot of cyclists excited about riding the Zoobomb. Now that they've done it... Let's see how many do it again (and again... and again...)

2p machines in Holywell Bay Fan Park, Cornwall. Once you start you just can't stop! And even if you win, you're just left with a load of loose change!
